Nice video, very detailed. I have a fully loaded 2016 X1. I like most of the features like heads up display, smart liftgate, sensors etc. Driving performance is okay though.. and fuel economy isn't bad either. Leg room for rear passengers is pretty descent too. However it lacks space for holding bigger cups and the storage below the arm rest doesn't make sense.

Aloha Jeff, like your wheels. I have a similar '16 X1. I wanted to let you know that I had the sensor in the bumper disconnected by the BMW dealer, such that the foot wiggly dance opening and closure of the hatch is inoperable. Had to do this for safety as I got hit unexpectedly in the head (Emergency Room, stitches,dizzy, not a good thing). I was simply reaching into the hatch and my feet were not under the bumper. So drivers beware, you do not want to get named by your Bimmer, that would be a really awful bummer. BMW Corporate US (NJ) knows about this and apparently answered that the next model will have a feature to disable. If you look at Volvo and other they do not have the automated closure when someone is close to the rear of vehicle with the key fob. BMW could learn something about customer safety and I hope implement a fix and alert new car owners of such. This dangerous feature was never really covered of explained and I believe the sensitivity for the auto closure shutting is dangerous. Had I known, I never would have bought a car with this feature. All I can say is that as cars become more autonomous...it could happen to you! Enjoying your videos. Be safe out there on your sweet ride. 808carbuyer

Average Jeff Thanks Jeff. Ever make it to Honolulu for the Triathlon? BTW I was told that the player could play DVDs when in PARK but have not tried it. The U.S. a website dvdinmotion which purports to offer an unlocking capability. Also you could see about a clear or dark tint on the glass roof to reduce heat and or light. I did some nice small tweaks on My M sport in Estoril Blue.

Have a 2004 x5 grey. Just powder coated the rims. I tell you the car looks so much better. would go perfect with ur grill. Got a loaner x1 and it’s pretty much the same size inside. Nice car!

Greetings from the UK. Just ordered an X1 2.0i M Sport X Drive in Mineral Grey. Like your subtle mods and getting mine debadged also. Only addition will be to get the wheels powder coated grey so they look like the 19" M Sport versions.

Do you still have this 2017 BMW x1? I am debating a 2017-2018 model and wondering how it has healed up for you and if you have had any big repairs needed, or just the normal maintenance/ wear and tear stuff. I took a 2017 for a ride this weekend and loved it but am afraid it will cost me too much if something ever breaks, to fix it. I do all my own small general maintenance myself on my vehicles (oil, filters, spark plugs etc.) So save a little there. Please let me know. And thanks for the info in advance! Your videos are great on the x1 as well ❤

Online. I believe it was Aliexpress. Just be careful not to get the cheaper ones, I had to return them; they didnt fit right and looked cheap. You should be spending between $75-&150 USD for a decent pair.

M Sport. Not sure about the 2016 engine but its a 2.8.

junki Lee Not a true M, suspension and appearance only. No engine upgrades. That said, I love my X1 with the M sport option!
