I bought the AVerMedia PW515. I like the wide-angle and adjustable zoom. You are correct that having included configuration software is necessary. After several hours of tweaking the manual settings, it feels like I doubled the quality and I do not have professional lighting yet. I am happy with it. Thank you!

So i am looking at either the 315 or the 513 for mixed reality in beat saber. Other then 4k vs 1080p is there a real difference in quality? im trying to be budget friendly because i have a ring light already, elgato pop up green screen, i just need two more lights and camera and im good.

Based on this post, and the price, I purchased this camera. Your video on setup was a huge help. The only problem is the length of the USB cable, 1 meter. My computer is too far away. My USB 3.0 hub does not support this camera. The hub vendor suggested that the camera is drawing more power than the hub can provide. In any case, I need a replacement cable, USB 3.0 extension cable or a USB hub that works. Recommendations please. Many thanks.

I think people need like a download link to the software and all, the instructions in the box clearly state "no driver installation required for this product" so I completely understand people getting confused as I was myself.

I just got mine a few days ago and the picture is great but it keeps freezing. Do you know of this issue and how to fix it? I using the software and installed the newest firmware. Otherwise I'm sending it back.

I got it to work without freezing. It was conflicting with another USB device, once I moved things around in different usb ports it stopped freezing.

I am liking the 515. I am going beyond just personal webcam use. Out of the box, it is ok, but with the downloaded software I was able to fine-tune my setup and pleased. The real adjustable zoom lens might be my favorite feature as I can frame my shot better.

I bought the AVerMedia PW515 which has autofocus, not sure about the 513. Having said that, it is not that clear when I hold an object up for a close-up. If I am at a fixed distance, the autofocus is pretty good and I can use the manual focus if I want to make sure it doesn't lose focus in the middle of a long video.

that's because they have crappy settings in the software. Some people also use 1080p 60fps which you shouldn't be using, it's pretty bad. Either use 4k 30fps or 1080p 30fps. Lighting also plays a massive role.

@@intech7863 I don't have the webcam, I've just seen extensive reviews of it and the reasons people have had issues with it. I can't confirm the issues but I've heard of them. Any webcam's going to look eh if you're in the dark though...

I have the 515 and the config software is a must. Sometimes I dislike the auto-config choice of colors but am happy after the manual fine-tuning and without professional lights yet.
