As silly as this may sound having heard about this case before, it really has had a profound impact on not letting my kids go on sleepovers at their friend’s houses. This crime was uncommon back then, nowadays, people are bonkers, giving us so much more to worry about 😏 Great episode!!

It’s hard to tell who committed this horrible act. Seems like there were a lot of possible suspects or persons of interest around. And with evidence contaminated like that, it’s probably never going to be solved.

I am really torn between George Kelly & Mansfield. I am curious why the jury didn't believe George's confession. I feel like his connection to the family and the fact that he was at the church earlier that night to be very suspicious. What about you? Who do you lean towards?

@@AveryAfterDark Maybe George Kelly? Since he confessed and he was also a peeping Tom, there might be some weird psychological explanation as to why he covered the windows and mirrors. I guess he’d want to see into a place and yet be unseen when committing the murders(if that makes any sense). Or, either he (or someone else) used the axe end on the husband/father so that he could eliminate him and then role play as him, using the other end of the axe as some sort of disciplinary weapon but also killing them, knowing this fantasy life couldn’t truly be fulfilled. -wow, maybe I should take a break from reading mystery/thrillers and get outside more.

May they rest in peace and someday have true justice. It’s weird how the jury didn’t accept George’s testimony it’s almost as if they think that just because he doesn’t look as menacing as they think he should he can’t be the guy……….however- it is pretty difficult to accept that one person could pull this off so neatly, due to the number of victims. 💔 😢
