What a voice. I hope he is very famous some day. The mic is an Eartrumpet Myrtle. Its a large diaphragm condenser. He uses it onstage in concerts lots of times.

The beauty of a 5+ octave range in his voice. Every voice you heard was Avi. He normally only uses other voices in concert.

Avi is just something else. Most of his songs are inspired by his own struggles. I'd say, that Avi's music is the best everyday's therapy 😀. Anyway, when you are in a mood for a dark low bass, you can try "Chains". If you prefer something lighter, I'd suggest "Floating on the Dream". Great are also all 4 tracks performed Live at Sunset Sound, especially "When I'm a fool".

I love your reactions to Avi, his voice and music always go straight my soul. His voice feels like a soft blanket that wraps around you and keeps you warm and safe. In addition to the songs mentioned in the other comments, I suggest you react to the mesmerising “Otherside” and the both haunting and hauntingly beautiful “He don’t love you right” (lyrics video). Plus “Quarter past four” (released using the name “Avriel & The Sequoias” and imo a must for any new Avi fan).

Avi said this was about his anxiety because that is the first place he goes but its the last thing he needs. Also Avi sounds the same in concert, that voice can get you every time! Try Change on the Rise next please.

Great reaction! The song is about anxiety! Great catch! His voice is so powerful, no matter what octave he’s in. He’s a bass profundo. His voice does reach your soul. If you get the opportunity to see him live, go see him. I saw him live in ‘22. It was perfection! He prefers small venues. Which, in my opinion, enhances the experience.

Another great song choice, I agree with you Avi's voice does just grab you. And Yes the song is about anxiety for him; but metaphorically- we all have a "first place we go". Unless Avi is touring with a band, all the vocals are his, and on a good day he's said he has a 5 octave range, incredible. As has been mentioned, Avi live in concert is truly an experience. I've been to 5 of his shows so far, 3 in 2019 during his first solo tour, and 2 in 2022. And he is as good live as he is in the studio. This video of "First Place I Go" that I shot at his November 30, 2033 show in Berkeley CA will show you what I mean. It's hard to hear in my recording from the upstairs gallery, but the crowd was singing along with him.
