Got the Lab Series pre-amp with built in phono stage, and power amp, driving Wilson Benesch ACT One. Sound quality is stunning, nothing added, nothing taken away. No cabinet effect from the WB speakers either.

Bought one on 2nd hand many years ago but ended up selling it. Realising how much I missed it I just had to find another. Now using mine with KEF LS50 Meta's and the two are wonderful.

I have owned one of these since about 2006. It can drive any speaker system no problem at all. Very heavy so you have to be careful handling it. I think AVI severely underpriced it - it was a bargain. An equivalent amp today would be £6000 or more. I had to get mine serviced a year or so back - ut in the process the repair man broke a track on the front panel control PCB. I enede up writing new firmware for the front panel and added the ability for the amp to remember the selected input, mute state and record setting after powering it off (no idea why this wasn't already done). Very handy for me as I use the amp as a power amp.

John sweda John sweda amplifier cost £1400 when was new now you can buy him between £650-£1000 depends about condition , but hard to find is very rare ! In 2004 was a grup test winner in Whats hifi and get 5 Star award for best amplifier till £3000 and best buy by Hifi choice magazine , amplifier sounds really good , very detailed , especialy hi and midrange , definitly is not for deep bass miusic fans , second thing is power 175w per chanel 8ohm so you can drive almost every type of speakers , you can check many positive feedback on internet .

@@MJdarkside and what about the phono stage built in any good anything to compare it with. Sounds like bi-amping would be ideal something like a crown driving the woofers with DSP built-in on board would be an easy crossover merch
