Interesting, had the same thought. Especially from a historical viewpoint: Although Hollywood always wants us to think that pirate captains wore those fancy-fancy robe‘s and coats, it’s highly doubtable. Not just because of the warm weather, even at sea (where it’s due to the wind usually colder), but because of practical reasons, such as freedom of movement etc. But... I’m also for not overcomplicating things.

Anyone else think that the hidden blades being visible on the shark hunter and whaler outfits completely ruin it. Theres not much that could've been done to hide them in the shark outfit except have the vambraces but they could've been tucked under the sleeves of the whaler outfit. But they're still 2 of my favorites

The shark hunter and whaler outfits would've been way better if the vambraces were included with them. The hidden blades sticking out like that is just ugly and takes away from the greatest parts of the outfits. I mean they are called HIDDEN blades after all so, call me crazy but maybe they hould be hidden.
