Whilst there are a few songs that don't fair well with the 90s electro styling, this is an absolute treasure. Sparks, in and of and ahead of the moment in time. Thanks for the upload!

Saw them in late June 2023 in Berlin. What an amazing concert. Now in their 70's, Ron and Russell continue to produce a high-energy experience. Kudos, too, to their amazing band, such talent surrounds these amazing brothers who have innovated and influenced decades of fans and musicians.

I was there too, and in Copenhagen two days earlier. They are marvelous!! Here, in 1994 , who could believe it is a 46 year young guy running and bouncing on the stage?? Last summer (2023), about to turn 75 (in October 5th), and is still running and bouncing, but a little less. He is forgiven. He runs and bounces like a regular l 46 year old guy. At 75 😅!

I just saw them recently at the DISNEY MUSIC CENTER in LA, and they were just as non-stop energetic and charismatic even though they must be in their 70's. Yes, Russell was still non-stop motion that you see here. And Ron, well, Ron was still simply magical as always. Russell Mael and Mick Jagger have a LOT in common when it comes to incredible unstoppable energy and stamina.

These 3 are priceless...pure love and energy on the drums, an ecstatic early 90s raver who sings and dances like a cartoon character (and definitely took the right stuff this evening 😂 )and in addition stoic Bela Lugosi on the keys! What a set up, incredible 😍

The "right stuff" for Russell Mael before a concert is water, and lots of it. The Maels have always been drug free, which probably explains, at least in part, why they're healthy, energetic and creative now, in the second half of their seventies. Russell can still leap, skip and dance his way nonstop through a 90 minute show.

Thanx tons for this video! Saw them 1994 in Hamburg, Hannover and Berlin. I was so impressed especially by Russ Mael, who kept dancing and jumping throughout the whole concert without losing breath while singing. ;) I had the fun of my life and found myself jumping, too. - In 2015 I saw Sparks again as "FFS" at the Lolapalooza in Berlin and twice in 2017 in Berlin. The guy is 69 (!) now and still fit and so full of energy, it's amazing and great fun to see this and being part of it in the audience. They are touring again at present. If you (who you are reading this) have the chance to see them live - don't hesitate! Go and get your ticket! :) xx

I found this only now! Thanks. Sparks has been my all time favourite band since 1974 when I for the first time heard Kimono my House vinyl at the library after school when waiting for the bus home. But, I saw them for the first time in Brussels in September 2018 and was "forced" to travel to Malmö Sweden from Finland to see them again a year later.

Love the whole concert, but quite taken with the song Katherine Hepburn. This live version (drummed by Russell!) is IMHO much better than the album version (although Christi's voice gets slightly close to out-of-tuneness live, probably due to not being able to hear the music clearly).

Only criticism is I don't like the speeded up version of When I'm With You.
@Tybold633 жыл бұрын
I agree it is stressful to listen to. I acknowledge that it is teir own choice of course and goes for some of the other tunes on this gig. They are not alone doing it but I am also always sensitive to tempo and get annoyed on other artists too when speeding up (slowing down tempo is often more acceptable).
