Majestic drummer. This is their first tour using computerized backing tracks, just look at that giant ancient monitor next to Ron! They used them from 1994-2013, happy to see them return to a full live band but both styles of performing have their merits.

So I listened to this album yesterday and today it turns up on KZbin. What is spookier is that a few days ago I was making up a song about James Bond (in my mind i.e. I didn't sing or say anything) and that night Iggy Pop's new song (She wants to be your) James Bond appears. I believe Cortana/Siri and the rest of these bots now have a telepathic capacity to probe our minds, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU THINK!

Not The Sparks. Just Sparks.

Poor Russell gives everything, and the audience doesn't seem to be very interested. So why are they there??
I can imagine that Russell was glad when it was over. This audience was terrible.

Janet, it's because those are the lyrics to the song. I guess you're not up on your Sparks so much yet otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question. This Town was the first track I heard of theirs when I was 14. I presume you were still stardust when it came out in 1974 & was a huge hit in the UK reaching no 2. Us Brits know good talent when we see it. Sparks are from LA but after two really good albums the Americans just weren't getting them. So that's when they came to the UK because we're more in tune with each other.Basically all mad but still have good taste! You have over 40 years worth of brilliant music to catch up on then. Enjoy!!

@@rsmith7912, I think Janet knows the lyrics, that's why she asked. Russell repeats those two verses here, not in the original version, and usually not in other recordings, what I have heard. IF your answer had been "to fill out the length from 3 minutes to 4" I hadn't written this. The three minutes song is too short in a context where a four minutes song is standard, therefor the extension. Why they didn't take the opportunity to play the verse they edited out already around 1974 is another question. "Choosing, the girl is choosing between the men who's..." then something I can't here, ending "... is you". You can find it on a recording from 'Live at the Record Plant, 1974'. Perhaps somewhere else too, but not what I can think of right now. Ps. If you can find out or figure out the missing words, I'd be very greatful!
