Halo is a good product. Had one for 4 years. My only issue was the mike boom would not stay in place. Finally gave up, sold it and bought an AXIS headset like Martin Pauley uses. Better product.

I haven't had much problems with the mic moving, but haven't been paying much attention to that either.

Hi does the mic work on the ground for phone calls when not connected into the plane?

Yes it does. The Bluetooth is great.

Do you prefer the a20s more than the halos? I thought I’d see them in your other videos

I like the Halo's and use them often, weekly. I really should get another set for the Stinson.

@@GreatMichiganBushCoI actually got myself a pair of clarity alofts and have been using them while instructing for the past week. In one plane it just sounds so much better than my Bose but I think it’s the ICS which is the issue

Is their an increased risk of ear infection from using ear plugs?

I don't think so. I've been using ear plugs at work for years and haven't had any infections. Keep in mind, I'm not a doctor and I haven't done any research so my answer is based on anecdotal data.

I've been using a similar head set for 17 years. I've made versions of these myself using hearing aid speakers from ebay. Fun project and they work great. I love this style.

Obviously you don't share earplugs with anyone else - I've worn custom made earplugs for years, and never had an infection.

10 months on how do they hold up ?

They have held up very well. Great set of head sets. So light!

I have had one since August of 2011. For most part it has held up well. Recently I saw that the insulation of the wires at the junction with the plugs have completely disintegrated. I emailed Tubephones and Phil asked me to send it in for a repair. But i got some shrink tubing over the wires and now the xposed wires are neatly covered. I like these headphones. I have a Bose over-the0ear headset but it stays in the trunk of the car!
