Come on, Eric, it is fun! Just think of the possibilities during hunting season, you'll be cruising around at tree-top level, spotting your quarry. LOL You can join me in early 2021, I'll be taking the same class as Ivan did. Stop off in N.C. and we can car pool the rest of the way. I am trying to get Smitty to join me too. He already bought his butt-fan and wing.

Ivan, I have over 11,000 hours flying everything from small single engine fixed wing to flying a Gulfstream G280 bizjet today. Aviation still humbles me on a regular basis. Learn from the humbling experiences. Once you think you're good is when you need to step back and be humble. if you don't, you'll be humbled. Congrats on the success!

You looked like you were really in charge of those last landings. i so appreciate how technique oriented this must be. Igor was such an inspiration. He would keep going no matter. Nothing brings people together like a common cause / goal. Hopefully once we have Covid-19 undercrontrol people will realise that camaraderie is so important and take care of the people who struggled through isolation. I loved every minute of my glider training and nothing beats the feeling of being airborne and free. Well done Ivan and fellow pilots.

I've learned some things about you, Ivan. I didn't know you could speak fluent Russian. Many times when people speak a Foreign Language their accent is quite thick. Now, I can't attest to your Russian, but your English is through the roof! (Slight New England accent; other than that you really don't have an accent with your English.) Great video!

I loved this series even though I would never do that. I hate heights and just watching the footage of the go pro gave me the chills. How high are you allowed to go?
@TenMillionYearProgram428 ай бұрын
18000 feet legally, but no one does it (or very few for KZbin views). Most pilots are afraid of heights, actually. I forget the actual figure but it's close to 90%. It's a strange thing, because the height doesn't bother me in my paramotor but a tall roller coaster or even being in a tall building will give me vertigo. Flying? Not at all. Maybe its the being in control and being so connected with the wing and the motor. It feels totally secure under the wing.

Dorman Products Who is Dorman Products? Do u work for them? R u Mr Dorman? Did u machine all the lug nuts that used to b the main business of Dorman products before u started reboxing all the Chinese stuff. I installed one of your window regulators in a Honda the other day. Shock, the window goes up and down nicely. Not everything is total crap. I purchased one of your Toyota charcoal canisters for a 99 Camry. Lasted 2 months. Then the check engine light went on. Two years later, I bought an oe from Amazon. Almost 300 wasted on your crap. Do u guys just laugh at all of us idiots that waste thousands on your attempt to make complicated parts? U should only rebox simple stuff. U obviously have no conscience. And whoever u r, how chicken of u hiding behind the name Dorman. The laugh is on me.

to bed after 1AM and up at 5AM, sounds about like high school/college, younger party/work years, leave at 5am sharp to beat the traffic, work 14 to 17 hours like a loon(uncle sam took it all in taxes) scrub hind quarters around 9pm go party until after 2am, rinse and repeat. seems fun while doing it, then you realize you'll fall over dead before age 40 ;)
@opl5004 жыл бұрын
Huh, there are no crosswind landings with these things. Always have to land into the wind.

Actually there are different strategies. You can approach in a crosswind and then pivot right before touchdown :)

How much weight can one of these rigs carry.
@TenMillionYearProgram428 ай бұрын
That wing could lift a Miata. Legally we can't be more than 254 lbs not including safety equipment and pilot, but not sure what the weight limit is on the harness and frame. More than any human that would be able to get off the ground.

@kerryb26894 жыл бұрын
i just saw the other video of how to deploy the reserve chute.
@PineHollowAutoDiagnostics4 жыл бұрын
Your motor stalls and you gently glide to a safe landing. Reserve chute is only if your wing collapses 🙂
@throttlebottle59064 жыл бұрын
quickly find the field wind sock for wind direction, or trees whatnot blowing, watch wing to keep proper.
@TenMillionYearProgram428 ай бұрын
The motor just gives us thrust to maintain forward velocity in the air to keep the wing from just being a paraglider. Motor dies, congratulations you're landing a paraglider. As long as you have an LZ (which is what we're trained to do) you just glide in and land. Hopefully not in a swamp. But motor outs are usually a non-event.
