Aleu Dazven Because, sadly enough, Aviators is quite unknown. Also, a lot of people will know him as a brony music artist, and since a lot of people aren't willing to give those a chance, they aren't willing to give Aviators a chance. (Shame on them, they're missing out.)
@leandrosvarus69439 жыл бұрын
Fore sure, sucks that being a brony has such a negative connotation to it, I didn't get why it is so bad before or after I was one and probably never will understand. I just like good music, don't care who or what they are apart of.
@slayerofthebad92659 жыл бұрын
Aleu Dazven Same here. I had some friends listen to some brony music, and they were like: "Hmm, this is pretty good. Who made this?". *Tells them it's a brony musician*. Them: "o.O You're kidding, right?"

SlayerOfTheBad Such a shame, the way society(for the most part) thinks though. Gender roles and the like tend to muddle everyone's view on what is acceptable/good.

I immediately loved this song when I started listening to it back in October, likely because it so closely related to me. I truly was in an abusive relationship, but with several friends rather than a significant other. It reached a climax on October 6 and made the next few weeks among the worst of my life... The scary part was that one of the friends was my roommate, and the combination of his history of anger issues combined with his now-negative feelings for me was terrifying (no joke, I lost sleep thinking I was in danger) I'm so happy I got out of all that, and I can also turn to this song to remember what I'm free from and look forward to a brighter future. Aviators, keep doing what you're doing. It seriously makes a difference to people. This stuff's life-changing and we're all better off for hearing it.

However much this resembles Radioactive (and it's not THAT similar), it adds a vital new twist and atmosphere that is quite precious. That song was written (according to the author) as an attempt to portray a healthy model of masculine strength (a worthy endeavor). but I think a song about healing and endurance under adversity and loss is appropriate and even more important. Because we are in a dark time when everyone needs to dig deep for the hope and strength to mend ourselves and face the horrible trials ahead in our collective future. (and the music matches these sentiments masterfully) (Plus it meshes with the Equestrian ethos much better.)

@DaScribbler10 жыл бұрын
Sam Boyd I'm pretty sure Open Your Eyes and Momentum have the same chord progression. The bassline is the same anyway, shifted up a halfstep in Momentum. It makes sense that some parts would fit. D#--F#--C#--G# in Open your eyes. E--G--D--A in Momentum. I could be totally wrong here, but I think that translates to i-III-VII-iv in both cases.

I mean, I guess the tempo and rhythm are more or less right, and there's a couple similar chord progressions in there, but if we're going to call the song in the same ballpark I'd say it's at best in the outfield.

Hmm, I might be wrong, but I think this sounds a little like it's about an abusive relationship. If the victim is singing this, then it's a story of letting go of the abuser and escaping to make a better life. It could just be a song about overcoming the odds in the face of danger, but that's just my opinion. :)
