I got the chance to play with Tim 3 times in my life. One time, we went to and after party, he missed his flight because we partied to much so he didn't wake up in time for the flight. I hooked him up with a cute girl that night, but nothing happened, he was very respectful, even though the girl was all over him. He didn't know how famous he was or he was to young lol. (2009) He came over to my house and listened to my shitty beats, and told me "Make sure you can hear the kick". That was almost 10 years ago. I hear that every time now I make a beat. I miss you Tim. Thank you for everything. See you on the other side brother.

@under t I used to go by "Loco Aragon" back in the day... I mean were talking 2009. I made this remix back in the day and it kinda went viral that summer. If you know anything about House Music you would know who Erick Morillo is. Here he is playing my track at Pacha, Ibiza. Roger Sanchez also featured it in his podcast. What people may not realize is, those moments of euphoria are simply because people realize that they are about to end it, that they won't be dealing with what happens to be bothering them at the time. Just because someone seems to be doing much better, if you see that they all of a sudden seem to find happiness, you may want to look and listen even closer.

None of us knew him and weren't in his life you can only look from the outside. I think that's why he did the documentary so we could see what it was really like for him. Lack of sleep, poor diet, constant travel across time zones, working non stop, alcohol overuse, illness, addiction to painkillers, depression and anxiety. It's all there but if everyone was doing the same thing they took no notice. You can see him unravel probably from 2013 when he first got sick. This was when he should have taken a step back and they should have helped him. But no "I kept going". He realised later himself that he should have taken at least 6 months out not gone straight back to work. But he couldn't say no to them - bit difficult if its you against them and they're all advising the opposite. He was too young to argue.
@tigergreg8

True, their are few who get out when they can. It’s got to be a tough decision to walk away from something you love so much, but has turned into a constant headache. They have great success, but no time to enjoy it. Financially he probably was set and could have just walked, but with that so many others lose their jobs and that in itself would depress you, you feel locked in.
@PringlesOriginal445
@PringlesOriginal445 4 жыл бұрын
Wow, thankyou for sharing that, what a phenomenon! Going from feeling absolutely captivated in your mind, it does make sense somebody would experience euphoria because they feel they are promised freedom soon. I've never come across this before and its devestating but also fascinating what the human mind does to us. That will definately keep me on look out for anyone who may be displaying signs of euphoria like that after being clealy down for a period of time. It almost disgusts me how little the world is aware of mental health. :(

Nicely put. Indeed the end becomes the resolution/an easily attainable goal and perhaps marks a date in the diary when the pain will end? If you know someone whoo is struggling especially if they have gone 'Full Turtle' as I call it, be the best friend you can and if its you doing the turtle (gone way deep into your shell, where you feel TERRIBLE but strangely safe) do not be afraid to admit that you can't see the light/a way out on your own! There is much joy to be had in life... many Eureka moments to come, all you have to do is find someone who can help you put all that stuff back in the right boxes and put the trash in the bin where it belongs and never look back. What is worrying you today, can become something you can merely step over tomorrow. Now either go drag that person out for a coffee, or BEG to be dragged out yourself.... Pride before a fall. One day you will laugh about this. ☕️☕️

While I didn't know who Tim was, his real name or even his stage name, the way he produced and wrote songs really spoke to me even when I was so young. I'm now 16 and his music still means so much to me. His sound is so unique I've never come across anything like him. I truly believe that his music helped to shape me as a person and my outlook on life. He had such a positive impact on me and I'll forever be grateful for his music. I miss him. I remember hearing “wake me up” when I lived in a very shitty apartment, being SO depressed, but hearing that song gave me a sense of levity and hope that I could not have conjured on my own. It helped me see the beauty around me and pause with a sense of gratitude. Things have changed since then and I’m grateful for that song to this day. Life is a blessing no matter what circumstance get thrown at you. Rise above and FEEL IT ALL. Never be too busy to stop and appreciate the life you are given. Love with reckless abandon- not just others but yourself as well. Your gifts could be the hope others need to experience to go on with their own life. Without you the world isn’t the same. As a mental health professional, I found this report frustratingly vague. Did Tim suffer from meaninglessness? Disconnection? Self-loathing? Why did he feels so trapped in his circumstances? Even 3 years after this video, its still a shame that songs like "Island", "Dun Ditty" or Our Love aren´t released. (If you didn´t knew, there are a lot of new songs that got leaked.) Just search "Avicii Leaks" and you`ll find them.

Brisbane, NSW, Australia, GOODLIFE concert 2014 if I remember correctly. I had the honour to see Tim live! He was the closing act and they played “hey brother”. They had the confetti, the 3mtr long streamers, the bright lights, everybody jumping and every single person there was having a blast. I was only 14 & it was my first experience with EDM but it is an incredible memory to have. So much joy. Thank you for that memory Tim.

❤️Avicii will always hold a special place in my heart. Tim’s songs were a huge part of my wedding. We ended it with a compilation and jumped into the river. It was one of the happiest moments I’ve ever had. I wish he could have found the help and peace he needed instead of death.

Gone too soon, but still remember as one of the greatest. This was extremely touching to watch, understanding that even people close to him weren't able to find what was really going on. Human beings are vulnerable, no one can ever have a 100% happy life, you sometimes got to struggle to proceed forward. R.I.P. to the one and only Tim Bergling "Avicii".

Something about his music stuck out to me and really opened me up to a lot of new and house styles of EDM and I believed he influenced and evolved EDM from a lot of the old more techno, trance and house to his style and the melody, the lift, the acoustic integration, but not just that it was done... it was how he did it, so finely tuned. I never listened to his songs and thought "it could've used this" but more like "Wow, he did this". On top of the fact, lyrically his music had a lot of parallels to Chester Bennington with Linkin Park, the music is hype, motivating, energizing, uplifting, moving and encouraging while the lyrics are quite somber, sad and deeper in meaning. It hurts me because, I was really starting to get out in this world, live on my own, started to obsess with his music and go to festivals, then within about year or so, he's gone. Not to mention he was in his artistic prime, if alive today, he'd have brought so much more joy, hope, unity and peace in this world no doubt. His music and character was so very wholesome and empathetic.

I loved Avcii(Tim),his music had those wonderful infectious beats and I thought the lyrics were really profound..I had seriously considered suicide a few years ago when my beloved grandma had to go into a nursing home..I was totally lost and felt so alone..I had it all planned out,what I was going to do,when I was going to do it,all of that I did not want to live anymore,this life was too hard..but one day I found a day old kitten under a bush in my grandma's front yard and took care of her and decided to keep her..at that moment all thoughts of suicide melted away..she is now a happy and healthy 2 year old..I rescued her,but she saved me..she is the light of my life 😺 (she is the one on my profile pic as a baby)

So sad. He was the headliner at my first ever festival. His music is the music of my youth. "I can be the one" is still one of my all time favourite love songs. I remember when he died I spent that morning (was AM in Australia) in tears listening to all my favourite of his songs. Celebrity deaths don't usually impact me but his definitely did. I'm now the same age as him when he died, and it really is just the beginning of life.... So sad he couldn't see a way out...
