@@bigbeauf_____3167 Not an actual movie, he just means that's how it feels. But in case you're curious, the music video is about Dick Fosbury, a man who competed in the High Jump event. He was the one who came up with the 'Fosbury flop' or the jump he did at the end of the video. That technique is has been the best and hasn't been replaced even up to today.

@@lucasandersn9458 That little girl looks just like me at that age ( not face, long blond hair blue eyes & my backhandspring was her 2nd one). It says the date the year I was born. Then I noticed the numbers on his the Dad's journey. 419. That's my birthday. I also grew up camping, & constantly practicing my backhandspring while camping, about 9 yrs old. Late starter, I was an Elite gymnast by 13, & my Dad was an exceptional athlete & did the High Jump so of course the vid immediately caught my attention. Our camper was a little nicer, but very similar. Also, he died 4/20. But in Muscat, so it was 4/19 in the US. ( Day on his chest). FOR A BETTER DAY video was about human trafficking, Tim said it was sad people looking for a better life were being abused so horrifically, & he planned to speak out about it MORE in the future. The vid shows a politician being hung over a crowd with pedophile written on him. Quite shocking. Of course he was depressed...although his roommate, the people he was with prior to his death, & he himself said he was no longer suffering from anxiety ( flip side of depression), after quitting touring. His manager is on video exerting tremendous pressure on him to keep touring before Tim fired him. He was from near Muscat, & was angry about losing that cash cow he felt entitled to Tim's earnings ( stated on video). I didn't know Tim existed until a yr after his death....he was depressed...but after the media INTERNATIONALLY lied that Prince OD'ed & the toxicology showed no drugs in his system, knowing the music industry like I do. So many deaths when they become worth more dead than alive, then you have to discount what Prince himself tweeted the night before he was found in a elevator (?) with his X Mayte believing he was killed, Michael Jackson owning Sony, calling Tommy Mottola "the Devil" 2x on stage dying; his "doctor" performing CPR on a bed.... so sorry for the rant. I'm sleepy. I don't believe in coincidences. Especially when they involve greedy people & a lot of money....or someone determined to expose high profile people involved in pedo human trafficking & such. much love♥️♥️🌎🌎
I remember crying the first time I watched this. Beautiful story. I’m gonna tell my kids about you Tim Bergling. Thanks for the music. Means a lot.

This song is dedicated to Dick Fosbury. He found it difficult to coordinate all the motions involved in the straddle method, and began to experiment with other ways of doing the high jump. He failed to complete jumps of 5 feet in school, and then one day he found a new technique which led him to set a new olympic record in 1968 of 2.24 meters

Dick Fosbury, then a 21-year-old Oregon State University student, used his new and innovative technique of jumping - a back-layout style he had dubbed the Fosbury Flop in a newspaper interview - to take the gold medal at the Mexico City 1968 Olympic Games and, into the bargain, the world was entranced. 3:43 In the public imagination, Sunday 20 October 1968 is the day that high jumping changed forever.

Best Swedish Producer Ever and Best Modern EDM Producer and DJ, don't care what position list he is in, for me he was and will be forever the BEST EVER, we all know that today's DJ Mag is ruined and unfair, it's more of a business thing right now, sponsors, cash, trending, mainstream stuff, popularity, bots, they don't care about the effort of the live shows and the production of the music, Tim said he loved more producing his tracks, being in the studio, creating all of his songs, but i'm sure he also loved doing live shows even if he had anxiety, he always gived an amazing show for his people.

I just discovered that this music video story is based on the story of Dick Fosbury. He is is an American retired high jumper, who is considered one of the most influential athletes in the history of track and field. He discovered a new high jump style that won him gold and broke the world record in 1968 in the Olympic. After that, he is the man that changed the high jump forever. Nice!

@cordobes3 жыл бұрын
Most of your comment is correct but Fosbury was never close to break the world record. He broke the Olympic record in Mexico but was 4 cms short of the russian Valeriy Brumel's 2.28 WR. In fact, when another American, Pat Matzdorf, broke the world record in 1971, he didn't use the Fosbury flop. It was only in 1973 that the WR was beaten by a Fosbury flop high-jumper Dwight Stones.
@adamkozakiewicz67662 жыл бұрын
The thing I like about this style is... it's all in. Every previous one would be practical in the sense that you could theoretically land and keep running, at least on some jumps. Not this one. You land on your back, you don't even see where you land, if there wouldn't be a mattress you'd be hurt. You sacrifice all of your mobility, everything goes into this one jump. It seems kind of fitting that this is the style that gets you the best heights.

LYRICS: You stripped your love down to the wire Fire shining cold alone outside You stripped it right down to the wire But I see you behind those tired eyes Now as you wade through the shadows that live in your heart You'll find the light that leads on 'Cause I see you for you and your beautiful scars So take my hand, don't let go 'Cause it's not too late, it's not too late I, I see the hope in your heart And sometimes you lose it, sometimes you're shooting Broken arrows in the dark But I, I see the hope in your heart I've seen the darkness in the light The kind of blue that leaves you lost and blind The only thing that's black and white Is that you don't have to walk alone this time We have to tear down walls that live in your heart To find someone you call home Now you see me for me and my beautiful scars So take my hand, don't let go 'Cause it's not too late, it's not too late I, I see the hope in your heart And sometimes you lose it, sometimes you're shooting Broken arrows in the dark But I, I see the hope in your heart Oh It's not too late, it's not too late I see the hope in your heart Sometimes you're losing, sometimes shooting Broken arrows in the dark Oh

Little do people know that this is about a person named Dick Fosbury, a olympian who changed the game of High jump.

When I first read your comment I was like "There's literally a newspaper showing the name of the athlete." Luckily I double checked, noticed the discrepancy between the name in the article and the one you stated. Did two Google searches. I was wrong, they apperently thought they needed to create a fictional character to represent Dick Fosbury. You were right, you got my like. Keep providing the good knowledge, fellow human!

I think it's funny how people get mad Zac Brown isn't listed in the title of the video as one of those featuring things. Last time I checked, Avicii has never had that in the titles of his videos. It is listed in the actual Vevo video of the song. That's how all songs are. The featuring thing is just for your convenience. It isn't a part of the title, nor is it by any means "required." If you really get upset by that, you must lead a sad life. It's just a KZbin video version of the song. Proper credit is given in the real description of the song. Not the KZbin video description. I guess that's too complicated for some people to understand. Anyways, rant is over. I enjoyed the song and the meaning behind the video. Definitely adding it to my playlist.

+MrMcfly125 what is bad in my opinion is the lack of recognition that goes towards the singers in this case. The ones who collabs with Avicii are in general already not so well known, and you should know that most people won't go for the descriptions or whatever looking for a name, but of course legally there is nothing wrong with that since probably avicii do the majority of the song
@Vaithen8 жыл бұрын
+MrMcfly125 I get what you are saying and personally idc if his name is there or not, but the point people are making is that the video got 20million views and the majority of those 20million people probably have no idea who Zac Brown is, im sure he's be a little more famous if his name was on the title. Just saying, not meaning to start an argument or anything.

Lyric: You stripped your love down to the wire Fire shy and cold alone outside You stripped it right down to the wire But I see you behind those tired eyes Now as you wade through the shadows that live in your heart You'll find the light that leads home (home, home) Cause I see you for you and your beautiful scars So take my hand, don't let go Cause it's not too late, it's not too late I, I see the hope in your heart And sometimes you lose and sometimes you're shooting Broken arrows in the dark But I, I see the hope in your heart I've seen the darkness in the light The kind of blue that leaves you lost and blind The only thing that's black and white Is that you don't have to walk alone this time We have to tear down the walls that live in your heart To find someone you call home (home, home) Now you see me for me and my beautiful scars So take my hand, don't let go Cause it's not too late, it's not too late I, I see the hope in your heart And sometimes you lose and sometimes you're shooting Broken arrows in the dark But I, I see the hope in your heart It's not too late, it's not too late I see the hope in your heart Sometimes you're losing, sometimes shooting Broken arrows in the dark

*I just.. miss him so freaking much. If he was alive now, the world would be better. When I listen to his songs, I cry. He was such an amazing person. He is living in our hearts now, his voice can still be heard. In summer, I went a trip on a forest, and when I was alone, I focused listening to the air. I heard a quiet voice singing "can u hear me.. SOS..". A tear fell and I said, he is still here. I promise I heard it. It was so quiet, I could barely listen, but I heard. He was there. I could feel he was there. He is watching us, and being happy we still remember him. I wish I could tell him how talented he was, but I believe he knew. At night, please, try to hear him too. In a silent place, outside. Just, try to listen to him. He is sitting on a star, and singing. I remember, my mother told me about a famous singer from the past. When I have kids, I will tell them about Avicii. I will tell them about how he changed the whole world. How much he is loved. All of his songs, have a backstory. He knew the end was coming soon. Some lyrics explain that: "he said one day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember". That's why his last song was named "Heaven". He was going there soon, and he wanted to tell us that he is going to be ok. I believe he is happy. This smile will never die. Legends never die. Avicii never die. I almost never talk like this about a person, only to the ones that deserve it, and Avicii deserves 100000 times more than that. R.i.p Avicii, forever in our hearts.*
