Massive time saver! Thank you. Few things though... I wish Roof Tiles 3 (Viewport) had some depth to it, rather than a flat polly. Also a great feature for this would of been if you did a lead flashing, that would be a great addition! The script works flawlessly though :)

Loved this! Is there a way to reverse the creation of straight lines created by geometry? Somehow it always goes the wrong way, leaving the butt cut ending where it should have started. I know the right way to create straight lines is to create by clicking and dragging as shown in the video, but it would help so much if we could reverse it, just like reversing splines on railclone or sweep modifier. Thanks!

If you are using "From roof plane..." option, when selecting roof edges, click closer to the place where you want the first tile to be. The plugin will place the start point of the object to the closest edge vertex.

Another question thankyou. Can you explain the best way to cap after cut option selected. Nothing is capping. And also how about boards around edges how do I do that. Thank you!

Use "Advanced Tools" > "Region" option to perform boolean operation between the tiles and the region and cap the intersections. You can also use cap holes modifier on top of any ATiles object. The result will depend on your tiles geometry. Use custom tiles for the roof edges: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYSXd52In7R7q5Y

I am having actually one thing that I get really: While creating "A Tiles 2" 2:35, following /(the topcorner tiles) I am not getting these smooth ends like thes are shown as e.g. the pink wireframes in 3:15. My ones are always open like the ones in between .. can u help here? thank you in advance! (sorry for posting here - I cant post in the main comment field actually =(

Aviz Studio Tools ... Thank you very much! - this did it - of course.... I think it´s a lot of pretty stuff inside ATiles, that can do similar things like RailClone might do as well? (for the all mighty-alld-day-purposes.... =) .. I´ll think about the Pro Version (when I´ll get the Job I hope for), since also I experienced, that single Developers also response quite fast when Users are having "problems" with theire Script/Pluggs or have some additional Ideas (like I experienced with the Guy who made this Miauu Tools) thanky a lot - great work!

How do I adjust the tile size? In my case is very big. I managed to adjusting using 3 options; the Offset X and Y, and the Element Scale. But is basically guessing between the three. Is there an easier way?

Builtin tiles are in centimeters, set Scale Local X, Y and Z to value that correspond to your working units. If you are working in meters this value should be: 0.01. By modifying Local X Y Z scale you don't have to adjust the offset of the elements.

There are no textures, only multi materials with sub-materials, each with different diffuse color.

My thought when I first tried it but after 15-30 minutes of tinkering I learned how it works. Give it a try, you won't regret it. Adding roof tiles now takes me only fraction of the time it used to.

To control the tilt angle when creating ATiles object - Turn on 3D snap. While picking third point hold ALT to automatically change the tilt angle base on the snapping point, hold SHIFT if you want the tilt angle to be set to zero. Make sure Count Y or Z is set to zero, otherwise script will not ask user for third point.
