Hi!
I'm a soap maker from Montréal, Canada. This is my recipe of the avocado soap, hope you'll enjoy!
With this recipe, you'll make a total of 74oz of raw soap batter, which is perfect for two molds of 34oz (that you generally find in stores, or on Amazon).
Here's what you'll need:
22.2oz Avocado oil
11.1oz Coconut oil
16.28oz Olive oil pomace
3.7oz Castor oil
7.4oz Cocoa butter
7.4oz Shea butter
5.92 Olive oil
1oz Lime essential oil
1oz Tangerine essential oil
1oz Eucalyptus essential oil
0.2oz Spearmint essential oil
9.9oz Sodium Hydroxide
19.8oz Water (mix of water and ice to cool down the solution)
1/2tsp Green oxide
1/2tbsp Titanium dioxide

Hello! You don’t have to - you can keep the soap natural or add any kind of oxide or micas. It only depends on the color you want (although in that case I chose green oxide to match the green color of the avocado)

You do not count the oil. You replace some of the water. How ever many ounces of avocado you want you subtract that amount of water in your lye solution

Exactly! You can put more or less depending on the result you want, but ai found this recipe pretty good!

Yes I do! Molds, stick blender etc. As per the ingredients, I’m lucky to have a local store that sells all the oils and sodium hydroxide.

Thank you! One is olive oil (pure), the other one is olive oil pomace, which is oil made with the pits of olives!

Can I half the recipe exactly as is?

Not sure if you can half it directly, you can still use a calculator to be safe (half each oil quantity and use soapcalc.com to figure out the lye quantity. I’m using a 33% lye concentration with 5% superfat)

How long we can keep and use this

I would say it depends on the oils used. Probably from 6 months up to a year for storage… usage depends on you, but they last longer if they are cured properly from 4 to 6 weeks

@@ateliererce in case someone sees this later the shelf life does not depend on the customer. The shelf life depends on it maker of the soap. You’re supposed to add shelf life to all of your products. And you’re supposed to know what that is.

@@CopperHueCollectionsChippewa As I said, it depends on how the product was made for the shelf life. As a soap maker, everything is written for each recipe and customers know what is recommended for each soap. For usage, meaning how long it will last before you run out, it depends on the frequency of usage, and if you keep it out of the water or not.
