This reminded me of something that my grandma used to say (only because of the avocado, nothing else): if you can eat avocado without salt, you can eat poop. That’s a censored translation, since my grandma used to say it with more... colorful words. She also used to throw pee to the kids that used to smoke weed under her balcony. She was an interesting lady, to say the least. Edit: the day of her funeral, the same weed smoking kids that she would throw the pee at gathered one last time under my grandma’s balcony, and cried together, saying how they would miss “that old crazy hag”.

Avocados are very high in fat. I feel like that's why it works so well in this soap. It blends right in with the other oils that get saponified.
@KittenBowl15 жыл бұрын
I’ve made soaps with raw egg yolks, milk, cream and food powder (almond pudding powder etc), as long as the oils that used to make the soap don’t go rancid, they last quite a long time. Like a year or two in a dark, dry and cool place. There’re different kinds of oils that could be used for soap. Soaps containing high % of grape seed oil, canola oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil do go rancid very quickly and animal fats like lard and tallow, jojoba oil, olive oil and macadamia nut oil lasts a long time. If the oil is saponified all most all of it without much super fat, the soap do last ages, like 2-3 years or more made with those long lasting oils (heat tolerant oils) and 6 months instead of 3-4 months with those short life oils. Using essential oils also prolong the shelf life of the soaps too, just as they do for oils. So it’s mostly oils and not really the optional additives actually.
