Thank goodness I found your video on how to avoid a relapse! Day 6 of being smoke-free but have been thisclose to lighting up for the past 2 days until I watched your video. The part about “ quitting for others vs quitting because I really want to” hit home. A part of me did feel that I wasn’t doing this for myself, that I was doing this more for those that I love..., after watching your video, I had to take an honest, truthful look at “do I REALLY want to quit smoking?”. The answer is YES, I want to enjoy a great quality of life, I want to feel healthy, vibrant and free from an addiction that has taken too much of my family/work/play time (10-15 minute breaks sure add up) throughout the years. Lol, I want to keep up with my grandbebe’s, great nieces and nephews well into their adult years, I want to be a healthy contributor to my large, noisy, happy family. :) I’ll continue watching your videos for your very helpful tips! Thank you :)

quit vaping ad dipping 2 weeks ago. quitting vaping is rough because everyone tells you its so much safer than smoking plus it tastes good unlike cigs, but i feel better about myself having quit nicotine and i know its the responsible thing to do.

Day 3 smoke free today. The sky looks to be a deeper blue. Maybe it's just me? 😄

Great job! Soon it won't just be the sky that's a deeper blue - The air you breathe will fill your lungs deeper, taste a little bit sweeter and the sun will shine brighter :) Keep up the great work!

So glad I found your channel. I am have given up drink easy enough but smoking and porn are so difficult for me because I have underlying anxiety. I use these habits as a crutch. Its so hard.

I've been mulling having "just one" after a full year of smoke free, I think you just reminded me why I quit. Thanks so much.

Day 22. I love your honest and practical advice. Most quit smoking literature is from the non smokers. You understand the mental game. It really helps :)

Just stopped smoking. I have a promise to keep with my mother that passed away recently. I told her I'd stop when she did but she died before she could but a promise is a promise. Wish me luck.

End of day 3 and this craving is worse than the last three days put together. I kept telling myself “just one then go to bed and pretend I’m the morning that you didn’t do it”. It was sooooo bad. I’ve been trying all things to make the craving go away but it just wouldn’t. It’s still there but now it’s in check. This video has helped me talk myself down enough. At first I laid down to listen to it because my back was hurting. I started to get sleepy. But again, it’s the last smoke before I go to bed that is hardest to fight off. But like you said, I went back to remember why I am doing this. I had to close my eyes and really visualize and talk to myself. And then I remembered that I bought a deck of cards for just this reason!!!! It even unwraps like a pack of smokes. I also have some gum for emergency. So I popped the gum in my mouth and I’m playing a couple hands of solitaire the old fashion way!!! Then I’m going to go to sleep and hope I feel better in the morning. It’s settled down enough that I’m not saying I want one anymore!!!!!! 👍. I really want to see what the morning will feel like when I wake up tomorrow. For anyone wondering I was a smoker for over 35 years and up to about 50 cigs a day!!

How you going with it?
@taketime06265 жыл бұрын
Joshua, I made it 10 days. Once I got to day 5 it was amazing. A series of events led me to give in and smoke. I went off the Chantix. I’m now trying to to redo it without the Chantix. Last time it took me a while to get to day 1. I’m going to try the same process, just without any meds. And a better plan based on what events and choices I made which led me to pick up a cig again. I believe I can do it and I look forward to feeling as great as I did for those few days I was smoke free.

Have you tried the sleep therapy it's really restful and breathing slow and deep tends to work just to get over the initial feeling. Takes five mins top. Good luck it's worth it.

I have only just restarted stopping smoking after relapse due to my mum been unwell with cancer. She as never smoked a cigarette in her life. So I hit depression and started to get that craving and I have into it madness I know. Yet I have a technique which is to stick all my roll up butts into a container add a bit of water and when I get urge take a sniff. I found this unusual while at my sister's outside they have an ashtray sat there on table and she had not emptied it previous evening it had rained so the butts were wet and the ashtray stunk awful I had to move it away I felt so sick. So maybe this will help remind me why I don't want a cigarette. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the videos Chris! I delayed myself today twice and didn’t go to the store to buy cigs. Thanks for the advice in your video. I will delay myself again next time to avoid buying and smoking cigarettes.

Hey cool video mate really found it helpful. I've lapsed about 5 times in the past 6 weeks (just did 13 months rehab) I went in for ice (meth) haven't touched it in about 15 months I quit smoking to cold turkey for 12 months but I have lapsed with gambling smoking ciggies drinking and mdma once or twice. Haven't done anything in 9 days I get paid on Monday and I feel a relapse coming again and it's scary cos I know the feeling. I don't understand why these feelings are really intense and why I keep wanting to go back I feel like I'm fighting myself
