Totally agree! The seats are one positive thing about Air Canada and better than Lufthansa. Thanks for your feedback! ✌🏼

The soft drink Canada Dry has nothing to do with Canada, except in the name. It's a US company that named it that back in the early 20th Century.

I will be flying Air Canada Business Class on the 787-9 in the summer to Toronto so it will be interesting to see if the flight attendance/cabin crew can pop a bottle of champagne without it going all over the place 🙌nice upload anyways ☺👍

Very good review. Thanks. It looks like a generic business class offering. Not offensive, but not remarkable. Q-Suites is the benchmark. This falls in the middle I think.

Checkin issue was beyond AC’s control. It is industry standard today that for overseas international flights one checks in 3-hours before departure time and clearly you arrived within 1-1/2 to 2 hours. As for your meal, while the steak may have not been presented well, how did it taste?
@zachary8989 Жыл бұрын
What? 3 hours is wild. 2 hours is what is suggested in most places. Closing 2 hours before boarding time is wild

Nice DJ on Jubilee bracelet... Classy... Seats look pretty private but service was a total disgrace...good to know as this gives an opportunity to bypass... Will stick to OS, Swiss or LH across the Atlantic

@@the.creditgenius They probably pay hourly for the counters, EK probably was let in at the time C/I was suppose to open. This use to always happen at T5 at ORD when INT airlines were delayed. If AC pulled out of CPH they would have no north american airlines serving the airport (which would be a pretty big deal)

It's truly an awful dodgy airline. I don't fly with them any longer; not because of what you experienced, but because of safety. In 2017, AC had not one but two near catastrophic incidents at SFO within months of each other due to negligence, pilot training and pilot error. One of the near misses was AC attempting to land on a taxiway on top of three other aircraft and which would have been the worst aviation accident in history. Worse than Tenerife. I simply do not trust them and will not put me nor my family in harms way knowingly. I'm happy your bread roll was okay though.
@the.creditgenius Жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, thanks for sharing your experiences. Safety issues are obviously by far worse than anything I experienced. I felt safe during my flight but totally get your point. Glad it didn’t turn into a catastrophe! All the best Chris
@ianhamilton396 Жыл бұрын
I would not normally engage however it is interesting that the apologist 'Nate' on behalf of Air Canada gave a spirited defence of one of the horrific incidents at SFO and his comments have seemingly disappeared from this thread (at least mine). I do appreciate he took them time to reply however his view does remind and confirm to me why I do not fly Air Canada.
@johnwellington5754 Жыл бұрын
@@ianhamilton396 US/Canadian Airlines are extremely safe, I don't know how you point to two specific incidents and deem an entire Airline unsafe. Zero fatal crashes in 28 years. That's a pretty solid safety record. But I guess you know better than the FAA and EASA
@davidbalcon8726 Жыл бұрын
The SFO incident would also be the fault of ATC for not being aware the runway being used for landing was not the one AC had vectored towards…and SFO is notorious for the closeness of its north/south runways.

@@the.creditgenius Hmm...let's say at best, unfriendly crew merely doing their job with little enthusiasm, horrible food, yet charging expensive prices. My favorite airlines are Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific and EVA Air, in no paticular order, although imo, the Singapore Airlines crew is the most enthusiastic. It's so sad to see one's own national airline providing such terrible service ( which includes food), yet charging ridiculous prices.

I’ve found if the main course is no longer available AC crews will go out of their way to find one, including giving me one of the mains from a crew meal. That may be what you ultimately got…or a premium economy left over.
