Avoid an Ebay Defect When You Lose a Sold Item with THIS HACK! | What Sold

I did something similar with a pair of NWT Spanx. They sold on eBay and I realized they previously sold on Posh. They were still on the Spanx website and I paid for express shipping. I know it’s against eBay TOS to drop ship so I had them sent to me, received them and turned them back around. Technically they shipped 1 day later than my promised ship time on eBay but because they were still delivered within the range eBay promised it was fine. I ended up spending around $30 to avoid the defect and I think it was worth every penny!

Ya its definitely not a habit we want to get into by any means but as a last stitch effort checking to see if other sellers can help might work out!

Yep… certainly have been there. It always seems like it’s a low value common item. My worst experience was a scrub top. I ended up express shipping from Scrubs and Beyond directly to buyer. I still wonder what she must have thought getting a new scrub (mine was used) and all the paraphernalia (catalog etc). Ehh. Got good feedback and no defect… lost about $20 bucks but worth it in the long run. Have you ever thought about buying wholesale instead of thred up boxes? I had to move my entire stash of unlisted items into storage because we’re redoing our basement. My son is coming home after college and I’m losing my office, storage etc. I have HUNDREDS of great curated high dollar to bread and butter items and I have no where to store .

Quacker Factory sells well but you have to price at 20-25 and stay in larger sizes. One thing I would suggest is lowering your prices for eBay to closer to market. By pricing above you are putting yourself at a disadvantage in the search. People filter low to high and you seem to be accepting prices discounted 25% and higher. I get it on Posh, but on eBay it’s going to kill you

Totally makes sense! We reevaluate ebay prices every 30 days to stay competitive.

So how did you deal with the shipping end on ebay? Just marked as shipped and put in the tracking number?

I’m told that people want broken in baseball gloves because they perform better. Much better than new. Baseball players actually do things to break them in and put them under mattress as stuff. Maybe that’s it?

There is some chatter in the community that it has started rolling out. No official word from Posh yet! On our end it still shows required so time will tell!

He does but he doesnt actually sell on any platforms just comes thrifting and helps package so not as much for sure
