Another point, the Qur'an already tells us if a woman has been found guilty of 'immoral' conduct, i.e. adultery or any other sexual relationships outside of marriage, the only common sense solution is for the husband to divorce the wife.

I'm afraid I don't agree with Dr Shabbir interpretation here. I don't believe the verse has anything to do with a physical 'beating' of the wife by the husband or by the state. It's all about how you interpret the verb 'daraba', does it really imply a physical 'beating' or is it something different?

The Arabic phrase وَاضۡرِبُوۡهُنَّ‌ means to shun or leave alone.

Please help me to understand. The ayah says …the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them, refuse to share their beds, beat them. If this was addressed to the state and not the husband, how would the ‘forsake them in bed’ part make sense?

Dear Sir, (Pls read till the end) Thank you very much for this series. Sir, can you also interpret the verses of the Quran that talks about the Hoor Al Ayn in the Quran? Some say that they are virgin women promised only for the believing men and the believing women will only have their husbands, and, Some say that it's a plural term which is applicable to both the men and the women and that both the genders get these purified companions by stating (Azwajun Muthaharathun in Surah Baqarah and Nisa). Means that both the men and the women will get Hoors in Jannah. Are Hoors only for the men or are they for both the men and the women? Could you please clarify this doubt? I have nowhere to ask my questions and clear up my doubts, because when we get doubts related to some Quranic verses and Hadiths, they call us feminists...😓😓😓 Dear Sir, please clear up this doubt. It will be helpful to many Muslim women like me. May Almighty Allah bless you and grant you Al Jannathul Firdous Ameen.

I read the meaning of the whole Quran with this thought in mind but the only thing I found was that everyone will have pure spouses. The hoors are mentioned but it is nowhere said they are for men only. According to one explanation by Dr Yusuf Estes he said the concept is that everyone will get what they desire in heaven and that means if a woman goes to heaven and there were to say she needs a hundred men to satisfy her, then it will be granted as Allah promises to give the people of jannat so much that will be satisfied.

This could be seen as an abuse and turn people away from Islam. Being fair and being nice should be the hallmark behaviors of the believers in any religion. Those people are bad because they let the power get to them.

Exactly...they use many Hadiths (example : women not obeying her husband, the majority of the women going to hell, women are a fitnah) to abuse and belittle us. And when we ask any questions to clear our doubts related to any Quran verses or Hadiths, they say, "Allah is just and fair. To be honest, before I was craving to get married. But now, I wish that I shouldn't get married in this Dunya. I just can't...marriage scares me...😨😨😨 I just want to be single for the rest of my life. Being single is better than living a life with a toxic and narcissistic man.

How can you let him get away with this disingenuous interpretation?? The verse clearly is talking about married couples, it starts by saying MEN ARE IN CHARGE OF WOMEN, righteous women are obedient to their men, but those who you fear arrogance from, advise them, forsake them in bed and finally strike/beat them. But if they obey you once more go no further. So is Dr Ally really insinuating that this verse refers to women obeying “the community” ? Give me a break lol plus hadiths confirm the wife beating culture of Islam: Sunan Abi Dawud 2147 - “The Prophet said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife.”

Q4:34b because SOME of them spend from what allh blessed them and they spend from what allh has bestowed them with ( from the baitul maal money/ booty for the welfare to give to women as they are not working etc ) then from those YOU ( the state not husband) fear any disobedience council them AND forsaken then in bed AND darbahunn notice all three things at once not three different options wadribhunna from root adhdrib doesn't mean hit means separate next verse context matters QUR'AN 4:35 AND if YOU ( pronoun goes back to the you in previous 4:34) a dissemination between the two then call a arbitrator from HIS family and HER family ( How can this be the husband thers three person in the room 😭🤔 this is state family counciling) Qur'an has no mistakes!!
