The Rainy season has just started in TokyoΣ੧(❛□❛✿). Anyone who is coming to Japan during the rainy season? Thank you for watching😘 p.s. I didn't mention much, but August is the season of typhoons, so you should always check the forecast if you come at that time!

Just left Japan. Was there from June 6-19th and it only rained on the last day. Was a good time.

Nao is definitely right about the weather in Japan being very different than other western countries. I recently came back and the rainy weather season is no joke when it shows rainy days. And dealing with that along carrying a luggage and umbrella makes it quite not so fun. Am considering visiting back next year so trying to see which dates are best and ones to consider avoiding. Thanks for the tips

Thank you for watching again😘 Yeah, that's so tiring to walk around with an umbrella with luggage...😃 I hope you find the best time to visit for your next trip😊

My family will be there mid July. I’m looking forward to moody weather for photography! Naoshima might be challenging as we are planning to bicycle around.

A lot of Americans get a break during the summer, so that's the only time they have to travel. Holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter typicallly are spent with family in the US. That's why people are visiting Japan in the summer.
@JapanwithNao7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching😉 Oh, I see! That's kind of a similar reason why Japanese travel during the summer, then😊 Thank you for sharing👌

@@JapanwithNao Thank you for replying. Japanese should come to the US in the summer, the weather is very nice! I just left Japan right before the rainy season and I'll be back in a few months. But, I have many American friends traveling to Japan right now... They know it will be hot and rainy, but it's their time to travel (:

I'm planning to go to the US in 2026 to watch the world cup😉 I hope you have another good time when coming back here😘

I travelled to Japan in July and it was very hot and humid. But it's also the Matsuri season and it was less crowdy so we enjoyed it a lot. We are also used to travel in July so we know how to handle it.

Thank you for watching again😊 You are a Japanese rainy season travel expert then😂 Matsuri during the season is fantastic I agree with you😊

Heading to Tokyo tomorrow. The timing may not be ideal, but I'm tagging along with my wife who's on a business trip. So, no matter what the weather is, it's my opportunity to go. It's 100 degrees F here and super humid - pretty awful here in the US, so it's already miserable. Perhaps, I will look for indoor shopping malls to escape any rain or bad weather in Tokyo, at least temporarily. I've heard that food courts in malls are pretty good.
@JapanwithNao7 ай бұрын
Now you are in Japan! I hope you have a good day even though it's a bit hot already😲 Yes, food courts in malls are pretty good, as you said💯 Have fun and thank you for watching😊

Visited Japan in Autumn and had the most stress-free time ever. However, I would like to visit in the summer. Already did the tourist hot-spots on my first tip. So for the summer trip..I was thinking of a more laid-back itinerary exploring small villages, beaches and other coastal areas in search of that Ghibli vibe. lol. I don't know if I'll find it,..but watching Japanese animes and listening to retro Jpop songs always makes me want to experience a Japanese summer since many songs and movies seem to romanticize it.

VERY TRUE! Visiting for 4 months every year for 10 years. I always avoid July and August. But I live in Seattle so it's not the rain I'm avoiding. It is the HEAT and HUMIDITY. I'm here NOW and it's 22 June (Shinjuku). Yesterday was rain all day. Today is beautiful. Tomorrow is forecast to be rain all day again. The biggest headache I have during rain days in Japan is trying to get a taxi. (^.^) Even the apps get overloaded. Regardless, Nao is correct. Follow his advice. (^.-)
@JapanwithNao7 ай бұрын
Yeah, Today is somehow sunny at the moment, but I don't know when it will change 😂 Taxi in Japan is kind of a lottery; sometimes you can get it easily, but sometimes it's hard to catch, haha Thank you for watching! Have a good weekend😉

Will arrive August 19th-August 28th. I am slightly concerned about the heat, as, I don’t like it at all, BUT I have lived in Queensland, Australia for 13yrs, and we get 32-40 degree days in summer, with humidity of above 80% most of the summer, and temps over 30 tend to last 9 months a year, so, as much as I will not enjoy the heat, I think I can cope ok. I am hopeful that we miss the US holidays and Japanese summer holidays start a few days after we leave?
@JapanwithNao7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching😃 Japanese summer holiday mostly starts around the 12th and ends around the 16th. So you are coming to Japan at the best time besides the hot weather😉 Have fun!

I have an odd question: when you speak English, do you still feel like you....your original personality or do you feel like the English speaking version of you?...Im asking because I am curious as to how much language influences our persinality... For example, I started speaking with an Australian accent, and instantly felt happier and more cheerful, even though I speak normally with a west coast American accent. Also, I know some French, and when I speak French I dont feel like my normal self.
@JapanwithNao6 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching😊 Speaking English is more sociable for me! Like more showing my feelings and expression😊 On the other hand, the Japanese language is literally humble....calm more than when speaking other languages for me😂 Never used hand gestures too when speaking Japanese and of course no face expression😂

Thanks for the tip. Perhaps, light rain should be ok. Less people. Less pollen allergy. That can cause a sore throat and cough even if you wear a face mask outside the building. Long term on allergy tablets may not be ideal. In the UK, pollen is particularly bad in the summer. After that hot and rain can easily fall sick. June this year in Tokyo, the weather is hot, cloudy and rainy (on and off). I brought my portable fan around my neck when it gets hot. Wet wipes to wipe away sweat.

Thank you for watching😉 English people don't use an umbrella even when it rains, isn't it? 😂 Anyway, you know how to survive the season💯 Let's get through the season together😘
