One wrong thing in the English of this lesson is about the cashew , it should be called cashew nut for make sense because the cashew is not really the nut but the fruit, its nut coms on the top of the fruit. Thus fruit is native from Brazil , the fruit is called cashew and the nut is called cashew nuts. Google cashew fruit and you will see what is a cashew , the nut is the nut it is not the cashew.

We know is cashew nuts but in America we call it cashews. We rarely say cashew nuts. Either one is correct.

Great class. However, dictionaries allow two pronunciations for the word "NEW". Word "NEW" = US:/nu, nju/ ,(no̅o̅, nyo̅o̅)

Dictionaries are correct, no doubt about it BUT; I would say that; /nju/ is the british pronunciation. And. /nu/ is the american pronunciation The same thing happens with; /nyōō/ = british pronunciation. /nōō/ = american pronunciation. But I guess this must be another dictionary and another kind of phonetic system. So I guess "News" and "New" have the same pronunciation in american English /nu/ or /nōō/, the only difference is the "S" and the meaning of course.
