Nuances that we only learn with a native! I've been a graduate in English teaching for more than 20 years, and there are details about the language I didn't have any idea about! Great lesson.
@fredylopez2477Ай бұрын
You learn those details ONLY when you talk to native speakers all the time constantly.

It is so rare to get a KZbin English teacher who is proficient in the phonetics of American English. Many of the articulation mistakes we hear in this segment are made by native speakers. A native speaker is a person that was born in the U.S. A. and was educated in American schools. The articulation mistakes alluded to above are all made not just by E>S>L. students ,but by native students as well. The question is, will these articulation mistakes become so widespread that they will be viewed as correct alternative pronunciations in the same was as we today, for example, view the two pronunciations of the words 'Either" and "Neither" as correct.?.

"Ng" after "i" sounds softer than an ordinary "ng", more like Spanish "ñ".

Isn't this audible "g" in "ng" particularly British (or even Australian)? I often hear it in videos not related to teaching English.

He also said uh-mahng instead of uh-muhng.

Working [wə:kıň] in dictionaries [wə:ki:ň] pronounced by Kevin Workin' [wə:kEN] why "en"
@fredylopez2477Ай бұрын
Dictionaries are correct, no doubt about it. BUT. Verbs with the "ING" form are pronounced both ways in real life (gerund or continuos tenses) "The "strong and hard "G" sound is not pronounced" but you gotta put it in written English.
@mrmememe777Ай бұрын
It's a reduction used in informal English.
