We should never act hastily just because we have what feels like a big hand. Even when checked to we can see how the hand setup in such a way that there is possibility for a straight to be playing fearful of the flush. Multi-way on this board we need to consider how few combos are available that might call our jam for value.

What does the caller think they're tank checking the river with? A pair of queens, two pair? Anything less than KJ isn't taking more than 5 seconds to check.

14:14 when someone ask if hero is value jamming or bluffing I think the person meant it's hard to get called by worse, so hero is effectively turning AA into a bluff. How can it be for value, if you don't get called by worse more than half the time?

Feels like a bluff because not many hands are calling on the river for a jam, that don't already beat you. Caller is the one that indicated BOTH players tank checked river. Very possible one of them has KJ and you checking behind on turn, jamming river essentially is turning your hand into a bluff. Hardly a "value" jam.

I can see the straight checking as it did in this hand, but I believe that even small flushes would bet for value here. Even so though, hero's bet reminds me of dnegs master class, where he said "there's no such thing as a value bluff." There's no way hero gets called by worse, even set of 4s would most likely fold, and at that point your only hope is to bluff someone off of a straight...? Not gonna happen

General rule: The worse you think your opponent is, the more you should only be betting for clear value or bluffs. The better players you should be targeting with a merge, although you also open yourself up to getting bluffed a lot more.

This is s classic case of passive player who is scared to bet the straight because of the flush but will call any bet with it. Lot of those at 1/3 or 2/5. I would punish their passive play and check behind here making them lose value. If I thought I could get thin value I’d bet small cause sets and 2 pair won’t reraise and even the straights would only call.

Hero could do a tiny value/reverse block bet on the river (maybe $100, give or take) and fold to a jam or just get value owned when he loses to KJ and doesn't dust off his whole stack (I also doubt KJ check/jams with 3 clubs on board)

I think your almost always beat on the river with such a small 50 dollar pre flop bet .. and a call on the 175 flop bet… the jam on the river as a bluff to try and get broadway to fold is a wicked play … suicidal but could truly get through a small percentage of time depending on the players … if I felt like I was going to jam on brick rivers I think I jam turn .. more polar and still can hit nuts ..

Maybe I'm too nitty? I'd 100% check this back, this looks very dodgy for only being called by a better hand. That Ac made my trip As only the 3rd effective nuts on a scary board. The pot has increased my stack by 50% & if I get c/r, I'm in a world of pain. Didn't expect a jam, hard to support that. _Yeah, it was KJ._

I would never bet here with AA against 2 opponents. There are SO many combos that beat me that trip aces is a horribly marginal hand in this run out. Wheels broadway and all flushes are better hands here.

Man I just go to like €100 with QQ+ AK in this situation. They gonna learn to stop fcking limping today. You can balance it out with low pocket pairs at a very low frequency and maybe 76s - JTs But you don't actually need to balance it unless you start seeing it get through consistently.

Is that directed at Bart? The caller jammed - which was an awful maniac spew play. I disagree with Bart plenty, but this river is a pretty easy check. If hero wants to go small for thin value - like maybe 200, that's not terrible. But he must fold to a raise.
