I love damselfish. They’re beautiful. That said how people will risk hundreds of dollars of fish over couple 8-10 dollar fish is beyond me.

I had 5 damsels in my 300. They were so aggressive i had to put them in my hamali sump. They are still doing fine..

I use at similar acclimation box & have been successful in introducing new fish to an established tank. The box is held to the glass w 2 magnets. I also use the same box to catch fish. I set the box a few inches below the water surface. I feed the fish like normal just above the opening of the box. They eventually become comfortable w the box after few days and swim inside the box to eat the frozen food that settles inside. I then slowly raised the box to the top when the fish I'm trying to catch swims inside. There is also a neat fish trap from tankmatez that I have not tried yet. Glad u were able to rescue the coral beauty.

Hate to break it to you but your fish are pulling a Nemo and escaping

Scrolling on KZbin I found your video. Sorry to see it wasn’t a complete success. I never saw the lid. Did you see it in the package, wrapped in brown paper? You should have gotten a coaster too. :)

Hey man. Those damsels are tough! I did not see the lid or coaster. I think I missed them during unboxing!

@@fincasters It was on top of the Peacemaker, inside the bubble wrap. The way you pulled it out of the bubble wrap, I could see how you wouldn't have seen it initially. Did you throw it all away or do you still have it to check?

No offence, but the box as much as I really wanted it to work for…didn’t work. A week, 2 weeks, whatever. Doesn’t really matter how long it keeps them safe for if they’re in the same danger as soon as they come out of the box 🤷🏻♂️

I use the box for only an hour or so, then I release the fish and turn off the lights.

Maybe some fish need a strong current to survive.

Maybe you will find your Tang once you break down your tank.

I hope !!

You would have to break down that tank if a fish trap doesn’t work to capture them.

I call bullshit on the already quarantined part no one rebags fish after quarantine as it would be redundant especially going through the effort of the rubber band, you recieved those fish and tanked them in the same day, now sure this is frowned apon by many fish keepers which is kinda silly since not everyone can have a separate quarantine tank at all times. but its even worse to lie while showing the proof of your lie on cam
