Austin - been following you for YEARS on IG ( back in your PNW days ) , big inspiration . I am making my first fall trip to Capitol Reef this Oct but am in a quandary as to dates to reserve at work and next to pick dates soon - what's your prediction this year ?

I have the same microphone, it's a great choice as it should have superb audio, but this mic should not sound this noisy. Something is wrong, I hear loud white noise. But I can hear you clearly, but don't know what's interfering, but worth looking into it. It might be something to do with your audio interface, maybe cable? I don't know, I'm not an expert.

A lot of my old edits look like that, squeeze in all the dynamic range and more colors then a rainbow, yanking those sliders, thinking i was doing everything right, while i messed up everything except exposure, whitebalance and a smooth subtle vignette, at least i was doing something right. XD These days, if it doesn't fit with reality, i trash it and start again.

it's funny how when you make these mistakes you think you popped out a great photo. then later down the track you say wtf was i thinking!? LOL
