Great video will have to put it all into practice Thanks!!

In practice (line ups etc), I think the biggest problem is rushing, just wanting to pot and as such, it's very easy to lose focus and concentration. Being methodical, taking time to focus on each and every shot reduces the flow (instinct) and speed, which I find quite dull. The issue is, without fill focus and concentration, you miss so many more from rushing.

When you use ONLY a trace/touch of helping side, do you have to allow for deflection/ cue ball going offline or the contact point etc. Please explain, Thankyou
@BartonSnooker7 ай бұрын
No. It should feel the same as not using the side.

After a year of watching your videos I have finally managed to make my first century off the line up(103) and still I can't get any consistency of play since that I can barley pot 4 balls ?? I've been banging the hours in but feel my mistake is over playing, when I've had enough I should stop as I feel I end up practicing bad habits

Guilty of hitting the cue ball too hard... subconsciously thinking if I do so there's more chance of the object ball going in, which is the opposite. I only start to slow it down when I've had more practise and get my eye in.

What do you do when you consistently do these things but still miss all the time? 😂 that’s my game, it’s either on or totally off. Snooker sucks 😊

I do 1and 2all the time. Will try and make myself stand up if dithering and changing angle of where to hit object ball or thinking about where I now decide when down on shot at what height I hit the cue ball.

2 and 3 seem slightly contradictory but I assume you mean at point 3 to do fine tuning or make micro adjustments?

What do you do when you are down on a shot and you feel like you're not aiming the middle of the white while you intend to? If you are just slightly off, can you correct it or do you have to stand up? Thanks for the great content!
@BartonSnooker7 ай бұрын
Just correct it slightly probably. Once you improve you'll get down to the correct part of the cue ball more accurately.

Great video. I can relate to all 5 of these ‘faults’ in my game. I’m going to remind myself of this video just prior to my next match. Anxiety in general (scared of missing -> tense up -> lift head -> chicken wings etc etc.) is my biggest problem. Great video thanks.

I know all these help and some days I’m better at being more disciplined at doing the right things but sometimes I’m better just playing natural and not over thinking, get down aim I know where I need white to go and just play
