Avoid These Ancestry.com Tree Mistakes

I switched from RM to FH after v8 came out -- anyway - just wanted to say that you should also save source images to your computer as well. Ancestry sometimes removes them or otherwise makes them unavailable (this is true for familysearch as well) probably due to contracts with the holders of the originals. Example, Ancestry used to have marriage license application images for Indiana. Now they have the same database, but no images attached.

When you sync RM Ancestry it should download all images (both yours and Ancestry's) to your computer.

one more warning - Ancestry has a school year book database with images. Each yearbook page likely has multiple to many images. I'm finding more and more of the names/images not being correctly linked. I've been clicking to notify them of the errors, but they are legion.

Yes - there are often errors in Ancestry's transcriptions across the board
