I saw a similar tutorial from Bert Kinister years ago. Very informative and a great shot to learn. Thanks for showing this. People think I’m crazy when I line this up with ball in hand. I’m like..trust me. It’ll get there lol.

When you need position on the next shot, balls sitting in the corner pockets are best played when the cue ball is near a rail, either the end rail or side rail.

Thanks Big Al. Good info

Hitting the rail first before potting helps also a lot.

This is simply the best pool channel on youtube. Why? Because Al is always showing real match scenarios and not some ultra hard skillful useless drills. I learned a lot here. It's like when I make the same error one after another I can literally find a video about my shot. Keep doing these please, greetings from POOLand (Poland) :)

Seems to me top right shoul give better shape on the 14

Top Right would bring you right on the line of the 14. Probably leaving you straight on it. But yes, you'd be closer. Playing the 13 with bottom, would also give a decent angle on 14 to get to 8.

The bar I go to we play last pocket. Cause they say straight 🎱 is too simple.

Then you would need to take the 14 first, with precision shooe on 13, to stun over. Like I did in the one example, and nearly scratched off the 8.

If you're serious about improving your game, you need to practice 'hanger' shots.
