For less than the 3050 another option getting better with each update is the arc a750 though that 6650 xt is still better. They keep improving and I hope they can keep going to add to the competition for amd and nvidia. Just need good upper and mid cards.

@Tornado.X
@Tornado.X Жыл бұрын
@@kelley09162 I'm not a huge fan of the XT simply put, if I could find a reference XTX or Founders Edition 4080 for MSRP then I would heavily consider, but I am mainly leaning 4070 Ti currently. I really like the PNY Verto 4070 Ti, but I have a Hyte Y60 case and it would be a tight fit vertically mounted. Likewise, the XTX reference card or 4080 FE are slimmer and would fit better with the side panel on haha

That last build really connected with me, since I built my first PC in Aug-Sept. of 2021 and used a white Corsair/ASUS theme as well. I lucked out by getting that white Corsair 5000D Airflow case, like new, for about $86. Then I proceeded to overspend on the air cooler and CPU, which left me with an overpriced 5-year old GPU until I could afford to upgrade to an open-box 3070Ti. But even so, it could still play some games at 4K, including the original Skyrim, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, and Witcher 3.
@Aaron_Lesse
@Aaron_Lesse Жыл бұрын
I bought the same motherboard too, and $150 is a great deal for it! I paid about $20 to $30 more. Also, I haven't noticed any less performance by using the bottom slot for the GPU, which made room for a Gen 4 NVMe adapter card in the top slot for more m.2 storage.

Not gonna lie, I really appreciate these videos because I keep coming back to them while trying to plan my next (and long overdue) upgrade and try to fine-tune things here and there (actually subscribed because of the deep dive on the setups and how to improve them!). Considering I've been rocking an i3 4330 and a 550Ti since 2014, with the only significant upgrade so far being an MX500 SSD, I need new parts. Some are already set in stone, like going for a 6600/6650XT (unless something new gets released in that price range, just 1080p60, MAYBE 1440p in the far future), or being cannibalized from my current build (monitor, a couple of mechanical drives, SSD, CM Centurion 590 case with GOOD airflow and CM Silent Pro M 850W PSU). My only "issue" is what you referred to as "paralysis by analysis" in your Ryzen 7600X build video, and it's choosing which platform to use. I know AM5 is currently in its early days, and despite the slightly elevated costs on B650 boards and DDR5 RAM, my train of thought leads me to believe it'd be the wisest move with a non-X R5 7600 because of upgradeability in the future (as seen with AM4). That is, assuming there'll be a BIOS update for these current boards to offer support for the next generation or 2 of CPUs, and wait for them to drop in price and get one final upgrade that could last another 5-ish years. Worst-case scenario, go with a 7800X3D by the end of the motherboard's life cycle. On the other hand, I could go and grab a 13400F/13500, or even go budget with a 12400, slap some RAM (DDR4 for budget, DDR5 for 13th gen, MAYBE), a compatible B660/760 motherboard, and forget about upgrades other than more RAM and a new GPU for a decade or so. Considering gaming and some productivity (coding/compiling and occasional video/photo editing) will be the main focus of the build, and again, coming from an old build that will be repurposed for other stuff, what would be the best option: Buy and pray for later upgrades with AM5/B650, or buy and forget with 13th gen/B760? Thanks for the in-depth videos! AM5 build: pcpartpicker.com/list/3N8tDq 13400F DDR4 build: pcpartpicker.com/list/wfWs3y 13500 DDR5 build: pcpartpicker.com/list/h8g4Ls

This is what I would do. For production work you'd want an Intel CPU not AMD. Also you'd want a Non-F CPU. Nvidia is also better for production work but they don't have a good under $300 GPU so I stuck with AMD. CPU: Intel Core i5-13500 2.5 GHz 14-Core Processor ($249.98 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Thermalright Assassin King SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($21.40 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($169.00 @ Amazon) Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($39.97 @ Amazon). Jason has said no reason to go DDR5 with Intel Storage: Solidigm P41 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($58.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: ASRock Challenger D OC Radeon RX 6650 XT 8 GB Video Card ($289.99 @ Newegg) Total: $829.33 If you want to save money you can go 12400 and RX 6600.

I really love the 3rd Boost my build in this video. Dude's build went from a 3060ti to a 4070ti!! At the SAME cost!!! All that took was to stop spending on the premium Cosair AIO, case and silly white PSU and he got his 4070ti. And I would argue that his build would look better with the white extension cables, the white Thermalright air ARGB cooler, and white Fractal Design POP air case.

Somehow it still enjoyable to watch these kind of stuffs even after building a PC, gained many insight from this channel but i also realized i made some unwise choices but at the very least i gain the amount of performance i wanted with Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 6600 XT and the aesthetic going on in my PC with majorly white themed PC minus of motherboard, fan, and the PSU cable, and it kinda sucks that the fan i used now dont have the white version sold in my country while this video featuered the same fan with white color.... It's a i5-11400f on a B560 MB, 32gb of DDR4 3200 CL 22, RTX3050 (came with it) upgraded the cooler to a Ncotua NH-U9s and it has a OEM 512gb M.2 drive. Ive been noticing the 6800xt has been going for around $550 vs the 6800 going for around 450 (if you get lucky)-480. would you still recommend the non xt for 1440p ultra/high gaming? I recently put together a build with a 6800, b650/ 7600x (got a combo deal) and was wondering if i should have spent the extra ~$70 for the xt?

I paired the 4070 with my "old" i7 10700k and i was worried about the cpu bottleneck. At 1440p looks like im 100% safe for the next 2 years. Unfortunately, there's no minimum spec rrequirement on the box I remember the old days where you could read what you need for the GPU.

@kelley09162
@kelley09162 Жыл бұрын
Depends on what you're doing and as for the 850 what your GPU is. If you're doing production work you'd want a Non-F CPU aka the 13600k but if just gaming that CPU is fine though AMD would be better. Nothing wrong with that motherboard though.

P.S.: I remember my first comment on one of your videos months ago...I was defending HDD's as still having their place. But my opinion is changing. Hello! Just planning out my first build (Note: I'm from the Philippines, my budget is about 1100-1300. Some parts aren't available or out of stock locally so that's why I'm not making a build using pcpartpicker yet). I play games at 165 Hz with such as low performance games such Val, Overwatch though I plan on the excessive setup for AAA games such as God of war, Elden ring, Miles Morales etc. I also go for mobile game emulation which is CPU heavy. I also plan to live stream casually with it. Maybe go for an AMD card for the upcoming AV1 encodding? I found a used 3070ti and AMD 6800xt for about $473.52 (converted to USD) with a year of manufacturer warranty. This is gonna be a big leap from me as I'm currently using an (laptop) 1050 mobile and 9600k Any tips or advice you have? Thanks!
