The monsters level up based on the number of encounters (fights). It really only becomes an issue at the two highest difficulty levels, and even then, it's manageable. You'll find yourself avoiding mobs more because it's just wasting time in your 3rd or 4th NG+. You do also become stronger.

In this one I thought it was tied to your weapon levels? Like the higher your average weapon level the higher the enemy? I know in the OG it was tied to encounters

This is newbie logic that gets thrown around a lot. In reality, even if you grind some, you will still almost always come out stronger and faster than monsters even though they scale. Grinding means equipment mats and lots of sparking. You can go from doing 600 damage to 6000 damage way faster than monsters can keep up with that. The key is to limit how many encounters you do that give marginal TP and engage in lots of monsters that give great TP. This is NOT a Last Remnant situation, whatsoever.

Just play this game the way you want to play it, these games are meant to be replayed. Hence why most of the games in the series have multiple main characters. They expected people to miss things and then want to come back and play it again to try and see more things or try new characters.

grinding is only worth it after you have done most quest and only have the heroes left and you have all the buildings so you can get craft all the good gear. though I wouldn't recommend skipping encounters though since bosses are statics and if you skip everything you will be weak

yeah i agree with you. once ur on the last emperor grinding can be wroth while if ur trying to max out magic for sure

6 or 7 depends if u party wipe or not

@@faizedfoxgaming7426 Have you completed the game yet? Did you defeat a Hero every generation? Do you know what happens if you don't. I know that's a lot of questions, but I have been through about 4 generations already, and I have only defeated 2 heroes. I don't want to be frustrated when I get the end and given a stupid ending because I did not defeat all heroes in the required time.

​@kmking2000 I believe there's only one or two quests that you can "miss" that being the first gen after gerard, you'll know because the game makes it a big deal and the other is a little later. Technically you have 270ish generations to work with, if you die or pass a generation you can't have an emperor of the same class with the same name again, (2 ranger emperors is fine, but you can't be like 'Lisa' again. ) if that makes sense

Grinding can be interpreted differently. I don't typically grind, but I do like to explore the entirety of dungeons, which means I am going to battle all the fiends in those dungeons. Is this going to be a problem? Ever since I found out that "grinding can mess you up", I've been trying to avoid enemies in the dungeons, and now I am not enjoying the game as much because it feels stressful. lol!

I wouldn't sweat it too much. There's casual mode if it gets too troublesome.

No, you can kill every mob in the dungeon, it's no problem

Thats not necessarily bad, go ahead and clear dungeons as you please, but don't constantly reset the dungeon just to get stronger basically. Late game it's fine because you just need mats or w.e, but early on just clear the maps as you progress and you'll be a ok

@LaLtheGaL my party setup was a dedicated party healer, a secondary mage w access to water attacks and buffs, and a Frontline tank w parry the rest is up to preference, it took me a couple tries before I got it.
