1) I am easily 5x the offshore fisherman I was a year ago (partially because I was terrible, but still) and it is 100% due to the info on this channel. 2) The vast majority of this offshore success has been with the Fish The Moment Jewel Football Jig trailed with the Versa Craw. (Green Pumpkin mostly). It’s been good enough that I am tempted to not tell anyone but I want to support this channel more. Loading the boat down here on Lake DeGray with them. 3) Johnny, please consider a data driven video regarding Floro versus Braid. Similar to the video regarding distance from the targeted offshore structure. I prefer braid, but I sometimes overthink and wonder if it is impacting the action and/or too visible. I tried to run my own study, by using same jig on two different rods with the respective lines, switching rods every 30 minutes. But frankly, I’m not a good enough fisherman to know if line up s skewing the data, or just me sucking that particular day.

These catch 15 challenges are the absolute best fishing videos produced on KZbin. Kudos to you man. Even if you blank like Beaver it’s still great info. Thank you so much!

I appreciate all your videos and time you dedicate to teach! I am new to tidal water fishing. I am fishing the california delta. Do you offer help breaking down this type of water?

I love these Catch 15 Challenges. It's incredible to me that you are successful most of the time. If I could catch 15 pounds in every tournament, I would be so much more successful in tournaments.

Love the grass fishing tips! Especially what to do if you don't have good historical data

Johnny, we had a tournament that the fish would only hit shakey heads for all the boats. The fish wouldn't strike moving baits. The barometric pressure was raising and an afternoon storm was coming. It was cloudy and windy in Georgiawith 57 degree water. Did the barometric pressure cause this? Thanks and great videos
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
Yeah sometimes fish get weird right before a front rolls through and then bite really well as the wind and ran moves in. It’s like they’re waiting to feed until the front hits.

Hope you and your wife and family have a merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season. Always make such informative videos. Please consider losing the background music because it doesn't really add anything. I kept pausing the video to determine where the noise was coming from, only to find out it was background music. Just my take on it, otherwise it was fantastic. I love your commentary and explanations of your tactics, conditions, techniques and lures

Great stuff! With a bank producing like that, why not turn around and work it again? Thanks for your input.
@josepha.brunojr.48372 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video appreciate it, was wondering if you turned around and went through that bank more than once. I've done that before and went back and ran the bank again, fish going back and forth up and down that bank? Maybe new fish coming up to that bank to feed.
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
I was going to, but ran out of time. I would have probably tried a Jerkbait or a swimbait on my second pass to try to get 1 bigger bite.

Johny you always tell us in winter bass go deeper so why target a shallow flat?
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
Bass will stay on the shallow flats until water temps get below 50 degrees. The water temp was 55, so the bass hadn’t moved deeper yet on this lake

How does LiveScope come in to play when you fish a bank like this? Do you use it to see if there is fish activity or at all?
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
I don't use Livescope close to the bank, but I know some guys do and have success. I personally use 360 imaging a lot more then I'm in shallow water or close to the bank. I had 360 imaging running in this video and no Livescope

How much of the 8 hour time limit do you spend working the drone, camera, etc?
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
1.5 - 2 hours. So I really only fish for 6 hours most of the time.

Why not relish the bank a second time?
@FishtheMoment2 жыл бұрын
I only had 30min left so I decided to stop early to get some extra drone shots and footage. If I had more time, I would have refished the same banks with a different bait
