Logic, reasoning, common sense. Sounds good to me, the haters are going to hate. At least if they hate on this approach it reveals their ignorance.

Great content Johnnie. The catch 15 is my favorite. Shows the process that we weekend fisherman have to use, without the benefit of practice.

He was a hammer way before FFS he can go more old school. Where as these new guys that know nothing but FFS can’t fish without it.

Great to hear your on-the-water thought processes as you worked through the day. Do you think the better quality fish had moved out a bit deeper? Interestingly, I had the same day yesterday on Lake Berryessa out here in California. Caught 20+ bass but only two quality fish yielded a so-so bag for the day. Would be interesting to hear your next-morning thoughts on what you’d do differently if you were going right back out.

I think the big fish were in transition from shallow to offshore in the section of the lake I was in. There were plenty of bass both deep and shallow, but I didn't see or catch any good ones in either depth range. When bass are on the move, it's really hard to track them down because they aren't in big groups. I may have been able to find the better bass with Livescope, but I didn't try chasing down individual bass. If I had to go out the next day, I would probably fish further down the lake closer the dam where the fish are still more in their post-spawn patterns rather than transitioning to their summer patterns. I probably was 1 week too late for the shallow fish and 1 week too early for the offshore fish in the river section I was fishing.

Thank you for showing us the realism of working to earn 15 pounds. I'm betting most of us weekend warriors don't put this much effort into it and that's why we don't get your results. Thank you for all you do.
