Lovely dusty road !

I tried this (starting at Muang Boun Tai) and after one hour in I decided to turn back. I was on my own with a small scooter, didn't cross paths with anyone and the path was super sketchy. Was a bit scared to have a puncture or breakdown and to be stranded in the middle of nowhere. Glad to see you made it! Such an adventure!

We can imagine it's scarier to go alone on that road, we were lucky we had no problems!
You guys are nuts!!! I love it! What an epic journey Happy Travels

Kudos to you three for a not easy journey to the north of Laos!! Not many people venture as far north as you’re going and we love that you’re bringing all of us along. Thank you again for going back to Laos. We love your adventures there. ❤

About the 6AM speakers, the village radio usually opens here around 7, but really most of the families are awake around 4:30 to prepare the breakfast ... Also take in consideration, that it gets really hot after 8-9am, so really they have 4 hours in the morning and a bit more time at evening to do anything ... During the day, they mostly stay indoors. (or at the fields)

Those houses where you’re not sure if it’s for smoking? It looks like what I saw many years ago: it’s for cooking bricks. They make their own bricks from clay. Also you pointed out the presence of the military. I don’t think they were there for poachers, but rather because there are still some small enclaves of freedom fighters here and there in the jungles of Laos. The army tries to root them out.

Hi! 3:34 that looks like a traditional sauna, with herbs. (also the burn marks suggest so) Once you near Ban Thabok, Bolikhamxay, give me a prior notice and you are more than welcome for a tee or coffee :)

Hi! We’re heading to Laos too.. question 1 - did you have dollars only or local currency? Q2: how is there with petrol stations? Thanks💪🏼
@TravelsonToast Жыл бұрын
Local currency, you don't pay with dollars here but you can bring and change them. Petrol is fine, you can always find
