When we went in mid May the island was just opening up for the season. Lots of villas and businesses were still boarded up. It's more a summer destination but I enjoyed the small crowds.

@matt and molly: with this beautifull vlog of santorini, you made me remeber my youth when i was a student and on perissa beach i saw her: a beautifull greek mermaid with eyes blue/green like the sea and with long black hair kissed by the greek god of the wind.all i can say is that she teached me what greek delight is and i started writing poems for the first time.she left when summer ended but memories remains even after years passed.the most beautifull thing in the world is to watch an oia sunset holding in your arms the beloved person of your life!i hope that all greek and egyption gods will protect your journey..remeber what kavafis said:every body has his ithaca because life is a journey and lystrigonians and wild cyclops are with us only when we let them be our sad thoughts!!!!with respect, laurentiu

We've visited Santorini 3 times. Beautiful island we love, would not recommend Oia. Our favourite spots are Imerovgli and the old town of Pyrgos. Best views of sunset from Santo winery. Also love Kamari beach. You need to return, so much to see and do there

Harriet and I spent time in Santorini just before the Pandemic hit, especially enjoyed the black sand beaches. The beers were a little pricey. All in all we had a good time there . Hot tip. Stay and eat in Perissa. Get scooters (preferable) or bus up to Fira and Oia for afternoon/evenings. You will save a load of $'s.

Hey! We showed where to get the tickets at the bus station! Timings and prices change in season so it’s best to check when you’re there. As for sunset spots they get busy an hour before at least

Ok Santorini is expensive in some places. But isn't it normal when we talk about one of the most touristy islands woldwide? And something else, Οία villafe is called, Hya and not Oia. ΟΙ in Greek is y. 😅

You should try Lesvos(Agiasos and Petrified Forest Park of Sigri, Chios(Pyrgi and Mesta) and Lemnos(Volcanic Rocks of Lemnos). Super affortable Islands with natural beauty. I have to say that I don't like those Islands (Mykonos,Santorini) with no natural beauty that created only for tourists.

this is my worst trip for transportation using the cable car. It took us 3 hours to get to the top. Not enough time to see the town. Will not use the cable car again.

I honestly cannot believe how they take the material to build a house. I couldn't live in a place like that. To close to one another. Can you imagine living near a couple that is constantly fighting and arguing. Molly this is for you. I know you both dress very well. But just becareful of scams. As usual Aussies do not use their head very well. One scammer stole an identity of a company that sells handbags and dresses. People fell for it. Sent the money and got nothing.
