Sorry about that crazy man. It is possible that he was an Afghan refugee who came to Pakistan in the 70s after the soviet invasion. There are around 4 million Afghan refugees here in Pakistan and a small number of them blame Pakistan and America for the state of their country. Pakistan has started taking action against these refugees who spew hate speech against the state and have started to deport them back to Afghanistan. He can't say anything about Pakistan anymore so sadly he made you a target. Or he could be a native Pakistani who lost family in the US drone strikes; these are the only 2 types of people here in Pakistan that have anti west sentiments. But they are an extreme minority and I'm surprised you even met one. Having said that, however much hatred they have against the west, they know how to differentiate between people and their governments so you aren't in any danger.
