Hi Jack, very informative thank you. I pull the plastic plate out on the nexus on a maintenance every 2 days which seemed to be enough velocity to clear the bottom drain. I put a Karcher drain cleaning hose down there a few days ago to check and the water was clear do you think this is a good option?.

I will always advise bottom drain mate, and if you can fit one, fit one in. If that’s not possible then yes what your doing will be a good option but not ideal

Grate to see how much gets stuck in the bottom drain an eye opener for some, and yet people sware by them . But they don't rilly clean them out .
