Thank you! Very helpful. I have enjoyed learning about Non-violent communication. It is very helpful. I see your point about sanctions and rewards being shallow. There is no intrinsic motivation when we are only learning to avoid shame or to earn approval from outside sources. This does not enhance human development, nor does it help others reach self actualization. Thank you again! 🤗❤

Since watching your videos I've become so aware of this...i just didn't know i didn't before. I'm working with primary children in an outdoors setting. We are all so programmed for s&r - and competition. Really trying to just 'notice' rather than praise, seeing that often the children push for praise and it's such a habit to give it. Thank you so much for your videos lou (and Lily roe!) X

Thanks for watching! I think its fascinating to observe how children (and adults!)n respond to different interactions. As Sanctions and rewards are so ingrained in us as a society, when trying to not use them, it can seem 'weird' for the children (and other adults). Curious to know whether you have noticed any change in behaviours/ responses over time?
