Can you put thrusters on turrets? If so, have a copy of the main thruster on 2 to 4 turrets that rotate to provide massive reverse thrust. Minimize supplemental forward and frontal thrusters where possible.

I hope you do Avorion Videos in the future. I have made dozens of videos on the game and put in a couple hundred hours into it already. The community is quite amazing even the steam one is not so bad. The Lua Scripting is crazy and really opens the game up for modding. The developer is super hardworking and really talented and will help try to solve things 1 on 1 with you on his forums and even drags you into private chat to help people out. I really have respect with the game that being said there is bugs and issues but it's a EA game and a Beta game the developers only been working on it full time past 9 months before that was just part time casual thing. I really frigan love this game.

I'm really liking the chill athmosphere of this game so far, there's something really calming about it. Maybe a good thing to play when you get tired of action packed shooting games, and maybe it will get more action later on. So far the building system seems to have really nice variation, can't wait to see what you come up with later. I'd love to see you eventually going across the galaxy in an Imperial Retribution Class Battleship :D

I have been playing it for a few days now and I love it. I have a massive battleship with 28 guns, 6 salvage beams automated as well as a fleet of 7 mining ships that mine for me. When you ships get large you can use the the slopes to make awesome ships. You can also have your own stations and take part in wars. There is Bosses battles and I cant say enough how much I love it and I have only discovered 3 of the minerals! The most satisfying thing Is to have a hand full of Automated Salvage beams and consume your fallen foes!

With P menu you can assign weapons to groups etc, so you don't shoot asteroid, mine wrecks etc. Also turrets are weird you need an 'extra turret card' like the one you found at the end, the craft size determines how many card you can mount.

This looks like a very awesome game, I was interested in it the moment you started building your ship. There was a somewhat similar kind of game called StarMade, similar in the fact that you collect resources, you fly around in space defeating enemies, giant and seemingly limitless star map, ship building and more.
