I kinda dig this type of buildup with thin sound, little low end, a lowly defined hat, a ping-pong smack, a thin, almost clicky kick drum, a simple pad, then a pluck bathed in reverb -- then in comes vocals and a bassline. Take away kick drum. Then feed it back in with lots of oomph, and make the bassline fatter. It should have a name. That sequence is so fucking seductive. I also love that he creates pick-ups with clap breaks. And then comes that little brassy detail with low attack on the filters and high env. Another break, dreamy vocals - rinse repeat, fucking home run, have the entire building in a motherfucking trance.

As a man just said here in the comments, you don't find this song, this song finds you when the time is right. Boy, do I relate to that... When I first heard Aura, I loved it, and I don't even remember how it found me haha, but I do remember it was in one of the lowest points of my life, back on 2021 in the middle of the pandemic, after a really bad breakup, dealing with an dirty additcion, unemployed and having college classes online with a huge project to finish by myself. I mean, some people have it worse, but to me that was rock bottom. And then, I chose to fight, and I like to think that I did my best, but I was never alone, music was with me, specially Aura, which came to be my most listened song of 2021 according to Spotify (and the million times I played this on KZbin too). In all those all nighters I've pulled studying, in those bike runs I did to get in shape, in all those gaming sessions that I had just for fun and specially in the times I just needed something to pick me up as I tripped, Aura was there. I could say I have no words to describe how much this song means to me, but I think I just did haha Thank you, Avoure, for everything.
