Every time I hear this song, I close my eyes and see old friends. We've laughed a lot, had a great time. But it's these people that I know I'll never see again. Not because they have died, but because they have gone their own way and the ways have separated. It makes me sad that I can never experience these beautiful moments again, but at the same time it makes me happy that I was allowed to experience these moments. There’s something to this song. It’s the continuation and addition of layers which makes this simple tune a complex and beautiful one. When the complexity is increasing a vocal hum comes along to calm it all down. Then she says “and it went like” exposing the complexity of the tune and accepting it all . Kid francescoli has created a masterpiece with all the layering. You can experience nostalgia, euphoria and calmness all at once in this song. To me this hum is very motherly. Like a mother calming her child. Also you can hear jingles interspersed in the middle in random.

When I was 9, my mom was at work and I was home alone with my two younger siblings. Was a sunny day when suddenly a storm came, it was around 3p.m. and the sky got completely red, it was so winding that the umbrella form my neighbour's pool flew to my garden, there wasn't anyone walking on the streets because it was impossible. I was sure that it was the end of the world and looking at my siblings crying I thought that if it was really the end of the world it should be worthy, so I decided to get some ice cream and I forced them to play Monopoly, which calmed us down. After two hours playing and laughing we realized that the sky was blue again. This song brought me right back at that moment, which I didn't remember until a week ago and as I listen to it I wish I would be as wise as that little 9 years old kid. Where did he go?

This song reminds me of being on an airplane for the first time headed across the Country to see my long distance boyfriend for the first time ever. My stomach was like a slushee machine and I was so nervous I felt like vomiting every time they announced how much time until the plane landed. I scurried around the airport looking for him and I took a lot of time trying to fix my hair and look good. When I first saw him I couldn’t believe how real it was...his baby blue eyes and light brown hair and the way he was dressed made my heart stop and I felt like fainting when we hugged. I miss him...

This song made me think about memories, in particular the happiest time of my life, which feels so distant now. About six years ago, when I was 19 or so, biking around in some beautiful forests in Poland during a warm and beautiful summer with some of the most breathtaking sunsets and sunrises I've seen in my life - along with my girlfriend at the time, whom I loved very much. The relationship ended a couple of years later, and life's been pretty still after that. I somehow knew those summer days would be memorable, but not actually to the level where these memories would be some of the strongest in my life. I guess I never have felt as free as I did back then, leaving my stressful situation with school and family, going to another country to be with my best friend ever and just truly ... LIVE. Only time in my life I can remember not having a single worry, whatsoever. Not sure if I ever will be able to feel like that again, and if I don't, I am happy looking back at those days as my best. I have been considering going back to these forests, but I doubt it would be the same and I don't want to meet her ever again. New times, new places, perhaps?

I dunno but I used to be the same, my 19 where the best and I'm 26 now but what I've learn is not about to be chasing the feeling of that memory but to create new ones as you get older knowing you're not anymore that guy of 19 but 26 that is currently taking new responsabilities... @@slicendicem91 thank you! Unfortunately my best buddy ever, our family dog, died quite suddenly on saturday, the day before New Year's... He seemed to have some stomache issues and he seemed to be in slight pain, nothing particurarly unusual for him, but when we took him to the vet it turned out his spleen had quadrupled in size over the last few days due to cancer, which had spread to many organs, including his heart - it was so bad they wanted to euthanize him on the spot. Luckily we were allowed to bring him home to spend one last night with him, with the closest family, and to bring him in saturday for his final, everlong sleep. It was a beautiful farewell, but I miss him a lot. I will never, ever forget him, and I'm trying to just be grateful for all the years we had together, all the wonderful trips we took, and all the memories I have of him instead of being sad that he's gone, but it's hard. Rest in peace, little friend

All the creation and passion being destroyed 'cause it's not "serious"...Now I reach uni, but seeing my little sister now facing the same struggle. It hurts. One day, my mom told me now I have to consider how to pay my family back, with all the efforts she and my father put into... I do know they sacrificed a lot on me and I will do sth to pay it back, but asking it straight out like this makes me stressed out. Now it's 1 am and I'm still helping my mom finishing her tasks.
