@@ChronicBreakdown I totally agree I always thought masked in AVP they looked fine, bulk was even ok seeing as they were juvenile/1st time hunters, i could imagine them not understanding the need to be sleeker.... but it always felt like the mask was created before the predators face, so the face was made to fit the mask not the mask to fit the face (which would naturally make more sense)

In fact the time line only shows Peter officially incorporating an American Weyalnd Corporation and 1 of two British Weyland Corporations that can legally exist. Nothing ever says Peter created Weyland Industries, which he didn't as we See Charles created. Again, all the Movies, games, novels, and comics, and some collectables are canon. The Predator also confirms AvP is still canon.

ok you guys too hard on this BTS it looks fun to film plus it was great movie i would love to have either the alien costume or predator because so detailed like the mouth moves on the predator and its so surprising to see stuff from what 2010? this detailed! i see on other videos people like way better than the special effects etc. dude they use mainly practical effects like contacts masks that move the green screens and special effects are used to enhance it stop complaining and it enjoy it

But that's what I love about it! That different yautja have different body types due to genetics or different subspecies prone to more muscle. Wolf had a more sleek look and it worked for him. Likewise scar had more raw power to defeat xenos and the queen

2:55 No nose and smell jokes aside I always thought the Predators smell stuff with their tongues like snakes do. Before anyone says anything yes they do have tongues. Predator 2 there's a close up of the City Hunter's face during the whole bit when he's healing his chopped off arm in the bathroom, if you look closely in his mouth you can see what is clearly a forked snake tongue flicking up and down.

I thought it looked great especially for the scar predator on the film the only thing I didn't care for is how they functioned the eyebrows to make him have that kinda plain look and in pain when the eyebrows go down and he has that mean mug it has that feel of the 87 predator. @Lil Gremlin still don't understand why AVP is that bad for fanboys predator stans 🙄. I remember liking this movie when I was a kid. I recently started to get into the predator movies, so I already saw all of them. The first movie is still the best, no question of that. The pacing of the movie, the practical effects, even the acting was fine (I always heard that Arnold's acting is bad, but I like it. Is stiff, but it blends perfectly with the types of characters he's used to play, so idm). But AVP offers so much on the table. Is more ambitious I think. Is the point where predators are not strangers anymore. Their Otherness is blurred in this movie as they show preds and a human cooperating. They did a far better job at doing this than The Predator, I tell you that.

@Lil Gremlin I think that you're just nitpicky. And I read somewhere with people complaining that they made the predators look bulkier and more heroic in order to look more empathetic for us. And I'm like... that's the effing point? 🤷🏻‍♀️ For example, the shots they used for Scar to emphasize his (human) eyes were deliberate. I think they made the right call for doing this. Is different and at the same time is not; refreshing could be the word 🤔. Sidenote: this is just a theory, but I think they made them look more appealing to the human eye. Specially for women 😆. But idk, is just a thought. I mean.... even in my little girl self, I remember liking Scar cause I found him strangely attractive lol. And I used to think that he liked Lex so, I kinda shipped them without being aware of the concept of shipping 😅
