Really good video. While watching it I was asking myself why the didn't went with the classic Alien an Predator design. The predators are so bulky and the aliens look like the one from resurrection. Imo the Alien Warrior design from Aliens would have been far better.... But that's just my opinion. After all I really like what ADI is doing.

If the xeno was hydraulically controlled, the puppeteers would have to be really careful not to injure the guy in the Predator suit. Looks like they could have easily broken his arm with him hanging onto the xeno head like he was. I guess that's why they get paid the big bucks.

I'm curious why a man in a suit wasn't used for the xenomorph? Seems like it would've yielded far more organic movements and probably would've cost a lot less? I haven't seen the movie but I'm guessing close-ups and lots of cuts were employed to hit the mechanical/uneven movement :-/

They need to do a remake of AVP with today’s effects and better actors and storytelling It could be a instant classic, however I still enjoy this AVP because the action was awesome

Seems prohibitively expensive and doesn’t appear to give a performance better or even equal to Tom in the suit. I understand using an animatronic for something like the trex which obviously can’t be done practically any other way but to have an animatronic to replicate the look of a man in a suit in the same size and shape of a man in a suit always had me scratching my head. The proportions may be slightly off but the quick cuts and lighting obscure almost all of the detail anyway. That seems overly negative but wasn’t meant to. Just saying I like the man/Tom in suit version more. The design and detail of the aliens is just amazing and they are the star of the show every time. It would be nice if the writing of the films they stared in were given the same level of detail and care that you put into your work. And stop hiding them in the shadows 🤗

Look on the speed and the intensity of the movements. The Predator - human - was on the ground and had to be exhausted. The alien had to do this for the hours. That would be impossible for Tom. Keeping Tom alive is the primal directive! :-D
