She came from a family of very skilled volleyball players. A lot of what comes to her naturally reminds me so much of her brother Pete when he was that age, he was a special talent as well. Kristen has inspired a lot of young girls to get in the sand, which is a whole other level of special.

Kristen Nuss is the Steph Curry of Beachvolleyball. Maybe not accolades wise yet, probably won't ever have the political weight attached to her sports career, but she has the same unique skill and mindset that makes people root for her. Like sure 6'8" people with 40" verticals are impressive but have little to do with the opportunities of most fans. It's so inspiring how she found her much less obvious opportunities and made the most out of them.

Kristen isn't the best player in the world, but she's the most *skilled* player in my opinion. The tomahawk digs, one-overs, hand sets, jumbos, cut shots, baby cuts, defensive juking, misdirection, flippers, her speed, her vision... NO ONE else plays like this. She's an outlier, a joy to watch, and to top it off she's a great person.

Silliest thing about beach ball is all the ridiculous jargon. Started with the need to be different from indoor and migrated in to terms just made up by blathering ballers. I love the game. The terms people make up for it are just extra.
