Her voice has aged really nicely. Everybody's voice changes as they age, but a lot of people who aren't lifelong musicians (and even some who are) get worse or lose the range and nuance they had when they were in their 20s. She seems to have gotten richer and more nuanced, she's got great texture and character to her delivery here that the original recording doesn't have.

I don't think she lost her breath, I think she has to do that in order to belt out the "yeah, yeah". If you listen to the studio version the yeah yeahs happen while she is still singing the word "complicated" - she sang the two parts separately in studio.
