My mother passed away last year and listening to this is really taking me back. I can see her standing in the living room with this playing so loud with the bright sun coning in the window as she's using her arms like she was directing the piece Her facial expressions are pure joy. Now over 30 years later, listening to this gives me a similar joy because of those memories.

In 1970, at age 18, I made my first trip to Europe. On a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon in June, the London Philharmonic Orchestra played the entire suite in Hyde Park, with actual cannons.
