בשבת קודש פרשת "וארא אל האבות" נסעתי יחד עם קבוצת אברכים המתגוררים במונסי לעיירה מעז'בוז. זכות גדולה נפלה בחלקנו ששלושה מחשובי הרבנים התלוו אלינו, הרב מאוגלען שליט"א, הרב מאלימפיא שליט"א, והרב מטרעסוב שליט"א
קשה לתאר את ההתרגשות... ככל שהתקרבנו לעיירה ברכב המקרטע קצב פעימות ליבנו התגבר... ופתאום, פרצנו כולנו בשירה אדירה, כשעליה מנצח איש החסד הרה"ח ר' חיים איצקאוויץ: "מעזיביש מיר זענען דא ביים הייליגן בעל שם די רבי פון אלע חסידים די רבי פון אלע רבי'ס".
איזו שבת, איזו קדושה, איזו התעלות. תפילות מרוממות בדמעות שליש ותחינה מלב חם שיאמר הקב"ה לצרותינו די. מיד כשחזרתי הביתה, נכנסתי לאולפן והקלטתי את השיר.

The Shabbos of Vo'eiro I had to zechus to be in Mezebish Ukraine at the tzion of the holy 'Baal Shem Tov' the founder of chasidus ,erev shabbos as we approached the shtetel of Mezebiz, this song was born, and after a shabbos spent in high spirits, I returned home and immediately got to recording the song.
