This is a 30 minute tour of the brand new AWA (Antique Wireless Association) Museum of wireless and radio communication in Bloomfield, NY, USA. AWA and Museum directors Robert Hobday and Bruce Roloson conduct the tour on the occasion of the museum grand opening in August, 2013. The AWA Museum has the most extensive collection in the world encompassing the entire history of electronic communication devices from telegraph to television, from experimental to commercial, to radio and TV for public audiences. Their Web address is: WWW.ANTIQUEWIRELESS.ORG

I helped rebuild the AWA museum when it was located in the East Bloomfield carriage house We tore out the horsehair and lathe plaster walls, resurface the floors, redo the electric and plumbing, then rearrange the exhibits. I worked with Bruce Kelly (W2ICE - silent key now), and Bruce encouraged me to get my Amateur Radio license which after 40 years, I still have. Even then, the museum was awesome, and I was able to operate the Association's spark gap transmitter with my original call sign KA2HLW and still have the QSL card to prove it. This was an awesome time in my life, and am glad the museum still exists. 73's de Fred - W4FJF.

I like old morris code keys. Those were the days! It was a sure thing. The code is neat and it is a nice chart. (the dots/slashes) Thanks Antique Radio Association.

If you are not an AWA member and enjoyed the history shown in this video, consider joining AWA. Membership is inexpensive. The Quarterly Bulletin published by AWA is loaded with fascinating articles.

Is that 99,000 on the Tesla coil supposed to be volts, not ohms?
