Good to see you'll sawing again. We all have them days. I was mowing the other day and the right rear tire hit some mud and the mower made a 90% turn and put me in the middle of a mud hole. I couldn't even get off the mower had to get my son to pull me out. It was hot setting out there in the sun. Stay safe and God bless.

Mr. Mike, you know that some days, it don't matter where you step, that you put your foot in something that Stinks, and it doesn't matter whichever way you step, it's there waiting for you. Well, we all have those days, and they're reminders to appreciate all the days that are taken for granted. That's the best way to look at days such as you had, be thankful that nothing more than your pride was seriously damaged, are no one was hurt. Also your best friend was there to help clean it all up, even if she probably had some fine words to go along with it that bruised your ego a little more. Next week when y'all think back on it, you'll both be laughing about it, and she'll have a few more choice words of encouragement for you I'm sure.

Okay, don't beat yourself up...it ALWAYS happens when you are cutting something for a friend! Plenty of times, I'll bet, you wouldn't have even spent time on such twisted oak, but for a special friend... Mother's taking care of the light work. You said it right when you said there's many men that could not have handled that uh oh. Many I know wouldn't even try. Mother makes a good working partner!!! And really, if there weren't any bad days, you'd never know how good a good day can be.

Wadn't a single thing wrong with THIS one! Quit yer growling and don't worry about it. I thought you were going to cut that knot off 1st thing but it's happened a bunch here because of a smaller saw blade. Get out the axe or the saw and don't get excited. And when it hopped over the head bolster was interesting but stuff happens. AND yall got it off without any blood nor hair so all was well. And as far as looking up and down reminded me TOO well of the last toot I pitched. I was in RVN and there was a stand down party because the unit I was in had got done and was going back to Kansas where they were based out of. I got paralysed but not blistered. Headed out before daylight to fire the plant up and it was cool and all was well. Then the sun came up. RIGHT over the bins I was filling with the clam bucket and popped me RIGHT between the eyes and I thought the top of my head was coming OFF! I could NOT move my eyes up and down but had to lay my head on my shoulder and watch that bucket go up and down that way, side to side. The other crane man was running a dozer pushing piles and the racket was killing him. It was a D7E with a straight pipe and he was begging me to swap for a bit. I told him to run that crane all day and I'd doze. That way I didn't have to look up or down much and would live. I got to praying and asked the Good Lord if He would HELP me get over this'n, there'd be NO more. That was in 71 and there AIN'T been. And won't be! GBWYall!
