Nah, I'm guessing that she's motivated to proclaim war against the USA specifically because Waller dispatches a US military task-force (the Creature Commandos) to try assassinating her, with her new facial scars coming from The Weasel's claws. If you were a clairvoyant sorceress villain like Circe, what better use of your powers would there be than ushering in that one future timeline you saw in which the USA starts and loses WW3, all major superheroes die, and you successfully take over the world? Even if you have to throw a couple of fights along the way as a 'means to an end', bearing the short-term pain and humiliation, isn't it worth it in the long run?

@@neostorm999 It's more like all cops are supposed to carry out enforcing the law. So no they arent obliged to jump in and save you at the risk of their own life. For example on paper when that shooting happened and the cops waited for shots to run out, they technically can do that if they want cause they think it's not safe, they only need to arrest the person. Most cops are good though and go outside that and jump in and save people and take the job cause they did grow up wanting to be heroic. Some lose their way and see the most vile things in humanity and it gets to you. Some also just get turnt and hate the people they need to serve and protect. Overall though from what i heard it's best when they deesculate situations and are seen as friendly in their community. You dont wanna fear for your life everytime you talk to someone whos supposed to protect you otherwise when crime happens you wont ask for help.

Also the episode focus on her a lot (even when showing the kids pictures). (Would explain why Weasel attacked Circe so angrily IF he recognized her). Feels kind of difficult to blame the police officers for this. They get a call that a "thing" dragged a bunch of kids into the school buildimg, when they arrive everything is on fire and a giant man-weasel thing is dragging a child through the hallway. If this was what it seemed to be, then not shooting on that creature, potentially letting it escape with that child, that would have been the worst option. Its just an unfortunate situation all around. Btw before anyone comes at me, of course they mishandled the situation terribly, you NEVER prioritize apprehending a target over saving someone, its just hard to specifically blaming them for starting to shoot on Weasel.

Because the building was already collapsing and it's not their job to go into fire and save people it's Fire & Rescue's Job , running in grabbing that kid would've cost both of their lives... + It's pretty realistic as the Cops make conclusive decision by their wrong speculative theories and catches innocent person , who did absolutely nothing wrong, Cop depiction is more real imo

The writing is mostly good. But you have a point. The reason why this episode didn’t work for me while the G.I. Robot one did is because this one moment made no sense to me. Even if they were in fear that Weasel would kill the kid, why would they risk shooting the kid? The only reason I can think of is that they’re in fear for their own lives and don’t care about the girl at that point. But there’s nothing stating that in the episode.

Him not smiling in 2 minutes of trailer doesn’t mean he’s gonna be dark. In fact the tone of the trailer didn’t imply the character would be dark at all. Sure there were people angry at him for some reason but he’s seen saving children and having a dog. Also, people chant “Superman”, rooting for him. All of that is trying to convey something. Like the little kid calling for him with the flag: Doesn’t that insinuate he brings people hope?
